Heaven and earth are in sorrow
When Mr. Lu Xun was alive, he explained his requirements for posthumous affairs: The first is not to accept a penny from others for funerals, but old friends can be an exception. Mr. Lu Xun died of the disease, this disease came very suddenly, in January 1936, Lu Xun felt that his ribs and shoulders sometimes had severe pain, at this time everyone did not think too seriously about the matter, but in March, Lu Xun began to have frequent asthma attacks, the condition was good and bad, but it could not be cured, and then the symptoms became more and more serious, which had affected daily life and had to be admitted to the hospital.
At the end of March, Mao Dun talked to Smedley on the phone and talked about Lu Xun's condition, and Mao Dun asked Smedley to find a reliable doctor in the United States to see if he could cure Mr. Lu Xun's asthma. Soon after, Smedley helped Mr. Lu Xun contact dr. Deng, an American. As a pulmonary expert, Deng gave Lu Xun a detailed examination and believed that Lu Xun's condition was not optimistic.
Deng told everyone that at the speed of the development of the disease, it will not last for the New Year, and if you want to be completely cured, it is best to change places to recuperate, or stay in the hospital for a long time, there is still hope. Because the medical conditions at that time were not developed, people only knew that Lu Xun was trapped in the lungs of the disease, but it was difficult to determine the specific cause of Mr. Lu Xun, after Mr. Lu Xun's death 48 years later, the Shanghai Lu Xun Memorial Hall decided to find out about this matter.
