Industry chain sources said that in addition to winning a large number of mobile phone orders from Samsung, Wingtech Technology has recently obtained a number of other mobile phone ODM projects, while further expanding the scale of the mobile phone ODM business team. Wingtech Technology has been one of the leading mobile phone ODM industry leaders for many consecutive years, and Samsung is one of its important customers.
It has previously been reported that Samsung's strategy has shifted to ODM (original design manufacturer) tilt, rather than insisting on making its own smartphones. Samsung's new strategy is to reduce production costs by handing the development/production of smartphones and the procurement of parts to Chinese manufacturers.
Of Samsung's annual production of about 300 million smartphones, it is expected that up to 40 million will be produced by ODM manufacturers.
