And Xu Guolin is precisely by virtue of his high morality and fine art, he stands out and is recognized as a master.
Xu Guolin himself recognized or opposed, but he could not stop people's love for him, in fact, it was more of an expectation.

A root is red
I am also a writer, and my decades of pen cultivation have made me a suitable candidate for xu Guolin.

His disciple Li Naibing often served for it, taking paper to cut paper and stamping, and when he was busiest, Xu Guolin moved his pen like a cloud and electricity, and wrote more than three hundred paintings a day, reaching tens of thousands of words, still full of energy, and Li Naibing was tired and dizzy.
Xu Guolin said: "The song does not leave the mouth, and the pen does not leave the hand."
Not a single day has passed since I learned to write.
The teacher said that if you don't write for a day, you will feel that your hands are raw and your thoughts are not fluent.

Confucius commented on Zilu: "He is brave, but he still needs to be learned in terms of humility and forbearance."

As Xu Guolin's influence continued to expand, it even attracted the attention of foreign countries, and I once wrote an article about Xu Guolin's election as an ambassador for Sino-US cultural exchanges.
In 2016, the 37th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, Americans were looking for 37 Sino-US cultural exchange ambassadors in China, and only The calligrapher Xu Guolin in Nanjing and Ouyang Zhongshi in Beijing were selected together.
The organizers of the selection of Ambassadors for Sino-US Cultural Exchange are international organizations. Probably they are worried that once they are handled through the Book Association, it is easy to have the problem of changing tanuki cats for princes, so they have introduced open, fair and fair hard indicators to find a veritable figure through social selection. 
Xu Guolin became one of the figures who met the indicators.
His style of writing is magnificent, innovative, not inferior to the ancients, and has a great influence.
In the contemporary era, even Wu Zhongqi was brutally suppressed by the calligraphy officials behind him, and instead of publicizing it, he was ridiculed for not being among everyone, and his disciple Xu Guolin was also denounced as a jianghu person and beaten into the cold palace.
In fact, it is not, the ancients cloud: the word is afraid of going up the wall.
Hanging the works of Wu Zhongqi and his disciple Xu Guolin on the wall at the same time as the calligraphy official Zhongren, the calligraphy works of the two major calligraphers are dazzling, and it is impossible for the jealous to overwhelm them.
The problem is that the book association is like a steel wire fence, and some book association officials have set up private clubs and grouped up for profit.
With Xu Guolin's own strength, he could not knock on the door of the Book Association and could not move the calligraphy officials.
But Xu Guolin does not care about the gains and losses of interests, disdains to compete with people for short and long, but is happy in society, good with people, often generous donations, calligraphy and character gradually rising, known as "the north has a merit, the south has a merit", every gathering, will be respected as a master of merit, led to the throne.
The international organization spent more than a year, putting character first and speaking with works, and finally found the real representative figure.
