Leyard: The intelligent display sector accounts for 70% of revenue, and the production capacity of Lijing Base will double next year

Jiwei network news, on December 15, Leyard said in an institutional survey that the main products of smart display include LED displays, small-pitch TVs, MicroLED and Pinda LCD and other products. The smart display sector currently accounts for 75% of our revenue, of which about 30% is overseas and 70% is domestic.

At the same time, Leyard is also laying out microLED and MiniLED. It is understood that Leyard has entered the development of new technologies such as Micro's huge transfer around 2015. In 2020, Leyard will mass-produce the Micro for the first time, through the mass production of COB mode or POB mode, Leyard said that in the future, we will expand along the COG or other quantum dot technologies. Leyard MiniLED using backlight technology, by its company Lijing company to do research and development, Mini backlight panel research and development program has been introduced, Leyard said, will be based on market needs and trends to do production planning.

However, now Micro is relatively expensive, one is because its spacing is very small, the conventional small spacing is 1.0mm, 1.2mm as the dominant, Micro out, the maximum spacing is 0.9mm, the minimum spacing is 0.4mm, because the spacing is smaller, and a new process has been adopted, the current scale is not very large, so basically now positioned in high-end customers. It is understood that Leyard is promoting domestic and foreign markets through the direct sales model, such as domestic government ends, some large enterprise users, etc., and overseas large-scale enterprises in Europe, the United States or the Middle East are mainly large-scale enterprises.

In the first half of the year, the phased shortage of upstream raw materials brought about a sharp wave of price increases. Relying on the advantages of its leading position in the industry for many years and the accumulation of long-term cooperative relations with upstream suppliers, Leyard has signed a supply agreement with upstream manufacturers to ensure the company's ability to receive orders and supply.

In terms of production capacity, this year Leyard has expanded production of three production bases: one is the Southern Industrial Park in Shenzhen, which has relocated several production bases including Shenzhen Leyard to an industrial park for centralized production and management to improve efficiency and reduce costs, and the current Southern Industrial Park has been officially moved in on December 1; the second is the addition of the Hunan Changsha factory, from March decision to the end of July, the production capacity has reached 6000KK/month; the third is Lijing, In July this year, the production capacity of 800K/month was initially planned to double next year, and the expansion plan has been put on the agenda.

Looking forward to the future, Leah's said that it will still take display as the main business, and the proportion of LED display will be further improved, and it will be forced from three directions:

One is on the technical side. Leyard will continue to maintain the leading type in Micro products and technologies, and continue to invest in technology, hoping to lead the rapid development of the entire global LED industry. In addition to its own efforts in MicroLED, Leyard has begun to lay out the industrial chain involved in Micro, to participate in different aspects of the industrial chain and develop together.

The second is the transformation to a product-oriented company. Previously, because of the characteristics of LED display customization, Leyard's sales model was based on direct sales, providing customers with customized products and solutions. In the future, as LED products appear in the form of standardized products in different fields, the business model will also be transformed. Leyard was already launching 4 standard 2K products of different sizes when it first developed MicroLED products, and standardized products will be launched in the mid-range or sinking market in the future. Therefore, the future launch of standardized products, product sales as the guide of such a model will be a direction for our development.

The third is high-end manufacturing. With the standardization of LED products and the optimization of cost performance, high-end manufacturing links have begun to become a core competitiveness of LED enterprises, whether it is the degree of automation, process improvement has put forward higher requirements, especially from the first half of this year, the upstream and downstream of the industry has undergone relatively large changes, and the advantages of enterprises with high-end manufacturing capabilities are becoming more and more obvious. Leyard's Southern Industrial Park in Shenzhen, changsha's production base, which went into operation in July, and the Micro production base in Wuxi, are all positioned for high-end manufacturing. Leyard said that in the era of increasing concentration of industry integration, companies with high-end manufacturing levels will become leaders in the development of the industry.

In response to the current focus on VR, Leyard said that our core is the optical motion capture owned by the WHOAP company in the United States, which is a wholly-owned acquisition, which is a leading position in the world, and it belongs to an underlying technology in the VR field, whether it is in the film and television industry or the development of other industries such as games, many of them are based on motion capture technology as the underlying secondary development. Leyard also disclosed several directions for its expansion in the VR sector:

One is to expand the domestic market, because VR companies are currently in the United States, the operation and production of the entire company, including its market space is also dominated by Europe and the United States, after the acquisition of Leyard, one is hoping to expand the domestic market share and landing; the second is to apply its underlying technology to different industry fields, to do the standard industry program, which is Leyard in the past two years in the domestic development and expansion; the third is to do digital assets, Leyard's optical motion capture technology It is very fine, It can even capture facial expressions and subtle movements of the hands, and Leyard hopes to use this technology to make some digital assets and apply them for secondary applications in the future.

At present, 90% of the business of Leyard VR is sold to global channel providers in the form of hardware, and almost all large countries have their own dedicated channel providers, which is NP's marketing model. The application of VR is roughly in several directions:

One is film and television production, which is its earliest entry into the industry, Hollywood almost 70% of the animated characters are made through their product Optitrack, this piece accounts for nearly 30% of its proportion; and then there is the production of animation and games, different from the traditional one zhen and one zhen hand-drawn, now many are made through live-action wear motion capture equipment, this is its second relatively large market, accounting for about 10% of the share. There are other training areas, such as basketball, golf, etc., and some for industrial testing, drones, medicine, etc. As long as it involves precise positioning, OpitTrack will be used.
