Qingfeng: Scientifically prevent dry and hot wheat wind

author:China's urban and rural economy

The wheat harvest is imminent, in order to do a good job in the later management of wheat, the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Qingfeng County, Puyang City, Henan Province sent 7 technical expert guidance groups and 120 agricultural technicians to go deep into the fields to scientifically guide the masses to do a good job in the prevention of dry and hot wind of wheat to ensure a bumper harvest of summer grain.

Qingfeng: Scientifically prevent dry and hot wheat wind

In Zhangerzhuang Village, Zhifang Township, Chao Hao, a member of the Agriculture and Forestry Committee of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Jiusan Society, a county agricultural technology expert, and the chief waiter of the county, distributed a paper on "Countermeasures for the Prevention and Control of Dry and Hot Wind in Wheat" to the masses who came to listen to the lecture, and then went to the field to give a detailed explanation of the harm and prevention measures of dry and hot wind in wheat.

Qingfeng: Scientifically prevent dry and hot wheat wind

Hot and dry wind, also known as "dry wind" and "hot dry wind", is a disastrous weather that reduces production caused by high temperature, low humidity and other weather conditions. There are two types of common hot and dry air: one is high temperature and low humidity type, and the other is hot and dry type after rain. According to the recent situation of high temperature and low precipitation, it is very likely that there will be high temperature and low humidity dry and hot wind. Once the hot and dry wind occurs, it may cause the tip of the wheat to dry up and fry the mango, the weight of the wheat grain to decrease, the husk to be gray-white or blue-gray, and the leaves to curl and wither, resulting in a large area of wheat drying up and dying of ripeness, which seriously threatens the yield.

Qingfeng: Scientifically prevent dry and hot wheat wind

In order to promote wheat grain filling and prevent the occurrence of hot and dry air in a timely and effective manner, the following measures are recommended:

1. Scientific irrigation

Before the arrival of hot and dry wind, watering the plots with poor soil moisture can effectively reduce the harm of hot and dry air to wheat. When watering, we should choose sunny and windless weather, and carry out small water irrigation in accordance with the principle of "light watering with small water, no watering with strong winds, and rushing to water without wind", and avoid flood irrigation. Do not water in the later stage of wheat grain filling, especially in the half month before wheat maturity, do not water "wheat yellow water", so as not to reduce the vitality of the root system, and even hypoxia suffocation, resulting in early death of the plant and affecting the yield and quality of wheat.

2. Foliar spraying

Before the arrival of dry and hot wind, foliar spraying of chemical agents can regulate the metabolic ability of wheat, enhance plant vitality, and achieve the purpose of disaster resistance. 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution or 1%~2% urea solution can be sprayed with 50~100 kg per mu to prevent or reduce the harm of dry and hot air.

3. Do a good job of "one spray and three preventions"

Scientifically prepare insecticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators and foliar fertilizers, mix and spray, prevent diseases and insects, prevent dry and hot air, and prevent premature aging, improve the ability of wheat to resist dry and hot wind and prevent premature aging, and promote the increase of wheat 1000-grain weight.

Through the above technical measures, we will strengthen the management of wheat fields in the later stage and lay the foundation for a bumper harvest of summer grain this year. (Wu Sai)
