On December 15, Li Yinan, founder of Maverick Electric, released the NIUTRON brand and announced his official entry into car manufacturing. The brand's Chinese name is "Self-Traveling Home", which will focus on the field of intelligent high-end new energy vehicles.
According to the official introduction, the first model of the NIUTRON brand is a medium-sized extended range SUV, which will be produced on a small scale in March 2022 and will be booked, and the product will officially roll off the production line in September.
Ziyoujia adopts the parallel direction of two technical routes of pure electric BEV and extended-range electric EREV, focuses on product research and development, and develops the Gemini twin platform.
Based on the platform's first product, the Youjia NV, is positioned in a medium to large high-end SUV, providing users with two powertrains to choose from to meet the different needs of users for intercity long-distance and daily transportation, and the car is expected to be listed and accepted for booking in the first half of 2022.
At present, Youjia Automobile has nearly 1,000 core R & D personnel, the brand headquarters is located in Beijing, Shanghai set up a research and development center, and has a modern intelligent manufacturing base covering an area of 770,000 square meters in Changzhou, the overall design capacity of 180,000 units / year, the factory is currently undergoing pre-mass production transformation and calibration, will be put into use in March 2022.
