The theater invited famous artists and famous teachers from all over the country to serve as judges, and after 9 days of exhibition and performance competitions, the young actors of the theater were selected, and 18 people were selected from the key training objects of the new five-year regulations.

It is reported that this is also the launching activity of the second season of the five-year training plan for young actors of the "Youth Runway" of the Shanghai Peking Opera House. Previously, from 2011 to 2015, the Shanghai Peking Opera House has selected and cultivated a large number of top-notch young talents through this project, and a number of outstanding young actors such as Fu Xiru and Blue Sky have stood out through the project. In the "Seventh National Youth Peking Opera Television Competition", a group of young actors from the Shanghai Peking Opera House won 7 gold and 12 silver medals, and the Shanghai Peking Opera House also became a big winner in the national academy group in that year.
As the "starting point" project of the second season of the "Youth Runway" training program, the "Ring Race" was funded by the Shanghai Xiqu Arts Center's Art Development Fund. Unlike the first season, this year's selection program is open to the public and cooperates with the "2017 Shanghai Citizens' Cultural Festival" to invite the audience to participate in the judging. 20 members of each jury will be organized and transported by the Civic Culture Festival brand, 15 will be released by the official public account platform of the theater, and the remaining 5 media judges will participate in the voting together to select 9 "Most Popular Audience Media" Actor Award.
It is worth mentioning that the cultivation of young talents has also aroused the attention of many social performers. After the ring match, each award-winning actor will receive a cash prize of 10,000 yuan on the "Star Point Play" performance platform. "Stars and Dots" is a brand of young actors who began to hold regular performances at the Shanghai Grand Theatre last year, and the performances are all aimed at new audiences and increasingly enthusiastically respond. Wei Qiao, the project producer, said that he hopes that next year's performance will invite the award-winning actors to participate.
According to the Shanghai Peking Opera House, the 56 young actors who signed up this time accounted for two-thirds of the young actors in the theater, including 37 "post-80s" and 19 "post-90s", covering all the Peking opera trades. The 18 winners will be hired from May to October to systematically teach them the repertoire, and systematically guide the actors' singing, stature, performance, and role grasping ability, "promoting the work with drama".
In addition, at the end of this year, the theater will also hold 5 outstanding actor report performances on the Tiantou Yifu Stage to fully display the stage art style of Shanghai young Peking opera people.
