Dell says the motherboard is an energy-consuming part, so in this product, the size of the motherboard is reduced by 75%, only 5580 square millimeters, and the part is reduced by 20%. Dell says the change has reduced the carbon footprint of motherboards by 50 percent.
Dell placed the motherboard on the back of the screen so that there was more room for the battery. In terms of repairability, Dell Luna notebooks have significantly reduced the use of screws and reduced repair time by 1.5 hours. Dell says batteries, keyboards and even screens can be easily removed.
As can be seen from Dell's renderings, this notebook uses passive heat dissipation, using the metal A side of the notebook as a heat dissipation device, and the processor equipped with about 10W should have a good effect.
At present, Dell has not announced when the concept design notebook will be mass-produced, and more of Dell's new notebooks are expected to be released at NEXT MONTH's CES 2022.
