The story of the Eastern Jin Dynasty warrior Zu Ti [tì] who "smelled the chicken dancing" in his youth inspired generations of generals who wanted to defend the motherland, and Zu Ti led the Northern Expedition to recover a large area of territory south of the Yellow River in a few years, so that the Later Zhao established by the slave emperor Shi Le did not dare to invade the south, and his name went down in history.
We all know that Zu Ti "smelled the chicken dancing", but in fact, Zu Ti had a good friend when he was young, and the two smelled the chicken dancing together, and Zu Ti's friend also had a great future, he was Liu Kun, the queen of Zhongshan Jing.
Liu Kun (271–318), courtesy name Yueshi, was a native of Weichang, Zhongshan (present-day Wuji County, Hebei). Liu Kun, like Liu Bei during the Three Kingdoms period, was after Liu Sheng, the King of Zhongshan in the Western Han Dynasty.

Liu Kungong is a poet and is quite famous. During the reign of Emperor Hui of Jin, because Jia Hou (Jia Nanfeng) was in power, when his nephew Jia Mi was serving as a secretary and supervisor, he recruited a group of literati to enter and leave his mansion, and people called these people "Twenty-four Friends of Jingu". Among these people are not only the beautiful man Pan An, but also several celebrities in the history of literature - Lu Ji, Lu Yun, Zuo Si, as well as Shi Chong, who became famous for his wealth, and Liu Kun is also listed among them.
When Liu Kun and Zu Ti served together as the chief bookkeeper of Sizhou, they had deep feelings, and often slept in the same bed and slept with the same bed. Both Liu Kun and Zu Ti have the lofty ideal of making meritorious contributions and becoming the pillars of the country.
Once, in the middle of the night, Zu Ti heard the chicken crowing, so he woke up Liu Kun and said, "This is not an evil sound." This means that this is the heavens that inspire us to advance, so Zu Ti and Liu Kun went outside the house to dance swords and practice martial arts, and persisted, becoming a very inspirational story in history.
After the end of the "Rebellion of the Eight Kings" in the Western Jin Dynasty, Sima Yue, the king of the Eastern Seas, in order to expand his power, sent Liu Kun to serve as the assassin of Hezhou in 306, adding the general Zhenwei and the general who led the Xiongnu Zhonglang.
Liu Kun led more than a thousand people out of the capital Luoyang and arrived at Jinyang (present-day Taiyuan, Shanxi) in the spring of 307 (the first year of Yuan Jia). At that time, Jinyang experienced war and chaos, and had long become an empty city.
However, because Jinyang was close to the Xiongnu and its strategic position was very important, Liu Kun appeased the displaced people, developed production, and strengthened defenses with strong enemies on the left and right. In less than a year, Jinyang became one of the few surviving forces of the Jin Dynasty in the Central Plains to resist the Hu people.
Liu Kun is not only excellent in poetry, but also proficient in musical rhythms, especially good at blowing hu flute (an instrument of the ancient northern peoples, shaped like a flute). Moreover, Liu Kun also has a story of "a song hu di to save the isolated city".
It is said that when Liu Kun was defending Jinyang, once, the Xiongnu Liu Cong led 50,000 Xiongnu cavalry to besiege Jinyang. Liu Kun saw that the situation was not good, if he fought hard with the enemy army, he would inevitably lose the city, so he ordered his generals to defend tightly, and on the other hand, he repaired the book to request reinforcements.
However, after seven days, the reinforcements had not yet arrived, but there was already a shortage of food and grass in the city, and the soldiers were panicking.
Liu Kun climbed the city tower, looked down at the enemy camp outside the city, and pondered the countermeasures, and suddenly, he remembered the story of the "embattled song" at the end of Qin, so Liu Kun blew his famous song "Hu Fu Five Alleys" towards the surrounding enemy camps at night.
Liu Kun's song was mournful and poignant, and the Xiongnu soldiers could not help but feel a commotion in the hearts of the army when they heard it. In the middle of the night, Liu Kun played this music again, and the Xiongnu soldiers remembered their hometown and returned with tears.
This story is recorded in detail in the "Biography of Liu Kun of the Book of Jin": "In Jinyang, often surrounded by Hu Qi, the city was embarrassed and helpless, Kun Nai took the moon to climb the tower and screamed, and the thieves heard it, and they all sighed sadly." In the middle of the night, the thief is drooling, and there is a cut of the soil. Xiang Xiao blew it again, and the thief abandoned the siege and left. ”
Liu Kun's 50,000 siege cavalry who retreated from the Xiongnu with a hud song has also become a good story in the history of ancient warfare and music in China.
Later, Liu Kun lost the prefecture and defected to the Xianbei people, Youzhou Assassin Duan Pi pi [dī], and became brothers with him. To Liu Kun's surprise, in 318, he was suspected by Duan Pilei because of his son Liu Qun, and was arrested and imprisoned.
In prison, Liu Kun knew that he would inevitably die, but wrote a desperate five-word poem, which was not only a portrayal of his resistance to the enemy and the country for most of his life, but also full of encouragement and encouragement to his friend and subordinate Lu Chen, the whole poem is as follows:
"Re-gift lu chen" Liu Kun
There is a suspension in the hand, which is from jingshan.
But he was too public to look forward to, and was once in Weibin.
Deng Shenghe was grateful and came to ask for it.
Bai Dengxing rebelled, and Hongmen Lailiuhou.
Heavy ears ren five sages, small white phase shooting hook.
Gou Nenglong Second Uncle, An asked the party and the vendetta?
Sighing in the middle of the night, the phase travels with several children.
I have been in decline for a long time, why don't I dream of the week?
Who clouds the Sunda Festival, knows the fate and does not worry?
Xuanni was sadly captured, and the west hunted KongQiu.
The work was not built in time, and the sunset suddenly flowed in the west.
When the time is not with me, go to the clouds.
Zhu Shi fell strong wind, prosperous and fell in autumn.
The narrow road is poured over, and the donkey destroys the double.
He means to refine his rigidity and turn into a soft finger around his fingers.
The last sentence of the poem, "What does it mean to be refined, turned into a soft finger" or a famous sentence through the ages, to the effect that: Why has the iron-boned hero who has been in the battlefield for a long time become so weak and incompetent? I am afraid that only those who have lost their way and have lost their way can have this kind of personal realization.
No matter how powerful you are, on the road to death, you can only be as soft as mud. Once the sonic tiger fell into the trap, its panting was weak.
The ancients said that "the bird will die, and its song will also mourn", which is an involuntary cry, but also a sad cry to embark on the desperate road of life. The two ending sentences express the hundred-end sentiment of the hero's end road very touchingly.
