Korean media: K-League technical score ranks first in East Asia, 2023 AFC Champions League qualification "3+1"

According to Yonhap News Agency, the K League's technical score has ranked first in East Asia, and the future AFC Champions League quota will be expanded to "3+1".

This year's AFC Champions League, Pohang Steel won the runner-up, Ulsan Hyundai and Jeonbuk Hyundai advanced to the quarterfinals, so this year's K League ranked first in Asia with 22.75 points, and the total points in 2018, 2019 and 2021 (not included in 2020 due to the epidemic) have reached 54.7 points, second only to Saudi Arabia's 57.3 points, ranking second in Asia.

As the technical score climbs to the top of the East Asian table, the K League's qualification for the 2023 AFC Champions League will be directly adjusted to "3+1". The 2019 K-League ranks third in terms of technical points in East Asia, so the 2021-2022 AFC Champions League qualification is assigned to "2+2".

In this AFC technical ranking, after Saudi Arabia and South Korea, Japan (53.525 points) ranked third, Iran (44.575 points) ranked fourth, and Qatar (43.05 points) ranked fifth.
