It is reported that the grand ceremony was sponsored by the China Television Artists Association, the Propaganda Department of the Shenzhen Municipal CPC Committee, and the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles; the Academic Committee of Television Documentaries of the China Television Association and the Shenzhen Film and Television Artists Association; and the Shenzhen Film and Television Industry Federation. The China Documentary Academic Ceremony is the selection activity with the highest standard professional awards in China's documentary industry, and it is the selection activity with the largest number, largest scale and highest specification for domestic documentary participation.

As a realistic documentary, the documentary "New Haixia" focuses on exploring the current situation of the island female militia company that was very popular in the last century because of the movie, depicting the unique youth choices of a group of girls at the end of 90 and 00, through the baptism of the company, the young girls continue to sharpen, grow, and eventually transform into the inheritors of the Haixia spirit.

The documentary "New Haixia" is the second documentary in the "Haixia" series, the whole film is 30 minutes, from 2018, the cold and summer, twilight, the film crew went deep into the Cave head of the Hundred Islands in southern Zhejiang, and the creation lasted three years. The first part of the series, "Haixia", reflects the 60-year glorious history of the Haixia Women's Militia Company, and the upper and lower chapters respectively tell the two major themes of "Why Chairman Mao Favors This Unit" and "How to Transform into a Qualified Answer sheet in the New Era", and interviews seven successive old company commanders, including Wang Yuexia, the prototype of Haixia. The second part of the series, "New Haixia", with the financial support of the Zhejiang Provincial Literary and Art Fund, the film crew pushed back and tried a new documentary method, the whole film went deep into the military camp, closely followed the training and life of the female militia led by the eighth company commander Chen Yingying, and unveiled the bitter course behind their cool and strong style. Highlighting the contemporary interpretation of the Haixia spirit, calling for not forgetting the original intention, continuing to move forward, and showing the Chinese dream of a new generation of Haixia people, the whole film was completed in December 2020.

The period from 2020 to 2021 is an extremely important year for China's history and reality, and commemorating the centenary of the founding of the Party, commemorating the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, continuing to fight the epidemic, consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation, and the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan are not only the key words for the country to review history and move forward, but also the most important theme for Chinese documentaries to look back at history and record the times. A total of 36 documentaries were listed in this documentary academic ceremony, giving birth to a large number of documentaries on revolutionary historical themes, social reality themes, and historical and humanistic themes, and also to show China's national image, enhance cultural soft power, and continue to add spiritual strength to the realization of the "two hundred years" goal.
