In fact, if Qianlong had not made his eldest son Yonglian the crown prince very early, it would be a pity that he had actually died prematurely, and if he had not died prematurely, Jiaqing himself would not have had the opportunity to obtain the throne from Qianlong.
That is to say, from the beginning of the Qianlong Dynasty, the selection of heirs was more inclined to choose the eldest son, and Daoguang happened to be the eldest son of the concubine. Therefore, whether it is Qianlong or Jiaqing, they are all in favor of Daoguang. It can be said that since Daoguang was born, he basically booked the throne, as long as he did not die prematurely, or did something rebellious, then the throne would not slip away from his hands.
Moreover, Daoguang has stood out from many crown princes since he was a child. Although he is not a genius, he is more diligent and studious.
Daoguang can even be described as both literary and martial. Wen Ru was able to memorize ancient poems fluently at a very young age; Wu Ru was able to shoot wild deer at the age of nine.
And when he was hunting, he also made Old Qianlong very happy for a while, and directly gave him the yellow coat and flower plume, and Qianlong was very happy in his heart at that time, because Daoguang used to look very much like himself when he was young, which made him feel like a successor.
In addition, Daoguang's martial strategy had actually been proved that there was a foreign enemy invading the imperial palace at that time, and Daoguang successfully killed the two leaders with muskets to quell the thieves.
According to historical records, it was the month, Peng Yin, and the thief entered the inner right door, to the south of the Yangxin Hall, and wanted to go north. The emperor shot the two thieves, and the remaining thieves broke up, and the chaos began to calm down.
After this incident, Jiaqing in order to honor Daoguang, crowned him as a prince, in Jiaqing's view, Daoguang can not be afraid of danger at a young age, this courage is really rare, which makes Jiaqing once again affirm his idea of establishing Daoguang as an heir.
From the above few things, it is not difficult for us to find that Daoguang's strength lies in the fact that he is not only complete in both culture and martial arts, but also knows how to show himself. In a way, the latter is more important than the former.
Of course, Qianlong and Jiaqing favored Daoguang at the same time, and the most important reason was that Daoguang never had the idea of usurping the throne.
