This PlayStation 4 jailbreak does not work for firmware 9.03, a vulnerability discovered by the cracking team by looking at kernel differences between firmware 9.00 and firmware 9.03. The vulnerability, known as "pOOBs4," was discovered by SpecterDev, Chendochap, and Znullptr, and required a USB flash drive to access an HTML file through the PS4 browser, either hosted locally or hosted by a website. Znullptr also mentioned that the kernel vulnerability even exists in some firmware versions of PlayStation 5, but no specific cracking method has been found yet, and the team does not recommend using this vulnerability to crack PS5 now.
IT House understands that since the PS4 firmware version 9.03 was introduced on December 1, it means that users who have not updated in the past two weeks can jailbreak. No console is ever undeackable, and the PlayStation 4 has a fairly long uncracked record, but now marks a new beginning.
