Puyi was the last emperor and had great ups and downs in his life. Three accessions to the throne, three abdications.
After the September 18 Incident, Puyi was co-opted by the Japanese army and ran to the northeast to become a puppet emperor. Japan surrendered on August 15, 1945. On the seventeenth day, Puyi and others carried a large number of treasures and wanted to flee to Japan. On the way, he and a group of puppet Manchu ministers were captured by the Soviets and taken to the Soviet Union.
After being imprisoned by the Soviet army for five years, Puyi and others were sent back to China. Immediately, he was sent to the Fushun War Criminals Management Center and began a nearly ten-year study career.
On December 4, 1959, Puyi received amnesty and freedom.
After that, in accordance with the instructions of their superiors, the relevant departments arranged puyi, Du Yuming, Song Xilian, Wang Yaowu, Chen Changjie, Shen Zui, and other people who had received amnesty to work in the literature and history materials research committee and let them serve as commissioners for literature and history. The treatment is 100 yuan per person per month.
Puyi was very excited about this and repeatedly said: "This arrangement is really unexpected. It is precisely in the difficult period of the country that the wage income of ordinary workers is only a few tens of yuan, and the wage of 100 yuan is a little more than that of the cadres of the state. ”
At the beginning of 1964, in accordance with the instructions of the superior chiefs, Puyi, Pujie, Du Yuming, Wang Yaowu, Shen Zui and others formed a visiting delegation as a commissioner of literature and history to visit and inspect various places.
On March 10, 1964, the delegation set off from Beijing and went south to visit the six provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan and Gansu.
In mid-April, the delegation came to Jinggang Mountain in the southwest of Gan Province.
The first stop of the delegation came to the Huangyang Boundary Outpost to visit.
Puyi first performed a salute to the Monument to the Victory of the Defense of the Yellow Yang Boundary standing in front of the fortifications, and then silently read the poem "Xijiangyue Jinggangshan" engraved on the monument.
After visiting the Huangyang Boundary Post, Puyi said to everyone emotionally: "It is better to hear than to see it!" In the past, I did not understand why the supreme commander did not go anywhere else, but chose this to establish a revolutionary base area. Now I figure it out. ”
Pu Jie and Du Yuming all asked curiously, "Tell everyone, how do you understand?" ”
Puyi replied without hesitation: "You see, there are so many houses on Jinggang Mountain for the Red Army to use, no wonder they are here." As soon as the words fell, the commissioners of literature and history covered their mouths and laughed.
The director of the Committee of Culture and History explained: "It is like this, these houses were built after the founding of New China, and were specially inhabited by Chinese and foreign guests who came to visit. In the past, it was full of mountains and ditches, and there were only a dozen mud houses! ”
After Puyi listened, he said awkwardly: "So, I am mistaken!" ”
After that, the group drove down from Huangyangjie to Dajing to visit the former residence of the supreme chief (chairman).
The former residence is a nine-row civil structure tile house, the outer walls are all powdered with lime, which is quite magnificent.
The docent said: "The house was originally built by a timber owner, and once became a camp for good men in the green forest. At that time, the supreme commander led the autumn harvest rebel troops from Jingzhu Mountain, and the troops came here to rest. After that, the Red Fourth Army Headquarters and the Red Army Medical Center were all located in the inner middle. The current house was rebuilt in 1961 on the original basis and in its original form. ”
Puyi and others walked through four patios and nine rows of boxes in the house, visited all the old sites, and followed the narrator to the big sunbathing area outside the house. The narrator pointed to a stone the size of a small square table and said: "At that time, the highest chief often sat on this stone to read books and think about problems, so it was called a reading stone. ”
Puyi originally thought it was an ordinary stone, but after listening to the introduction, he knew that the stone had an extraordinary origin. He was suddenly in awe, bent down, and looked closely at the stone.
Du Yuming saw Puyi's pious expression full of affection, and said, "Old Pu, you may as well go up and sit down." ”
Puyi listened and said, "Oh, how dare I sit up like the supreme chief?" ”
The narrator wanted to laugh and explained: "The stone sitting is not bad, and everyone who comes to visit must go up and sit down." ”
Puyi hesitated slightly, and then said seriously: "Others belong to others, I... I cannot sit on an equal footing with the President. ”
Shen Drunk, who is usually good at enlivening the atmosphere, said in a witty tone: "Aren't you the emperor?" ”
When Puyi heard this, he shook his head and waved his hand, and said with some panic: "Oh, you can't say that, what kind of emperor am I?" ”
When the crowd saw his anxious look, they couldn't help but smile kindly. The younger brother Pujie said, "Brother, they are joking with you." You're serious. ”
"Well, that's a joke." Puyi is still so serious, and his seriousness has amused everyone even more.
After that, Puyi, Du Yuming, and the rest of the party went to the place where the supreme commander, Zhu Laozong, and the soldiers of the Red Army rested when they picked grain and went up the mountain.
Looking at the leafy lotus tree, Puyi sighed with emotion, and he was full of poetry: looking up to the wind of the big tree of that year, Gantang left behind the love of ancient and modern. After all, the "five sameness" is more than ancient times, and 600 million people admire it!
When the fellow travelers heard this poem, they all warmly applauded and praised: "Good poetry, really good poetry!" ”
On April 15, the delegation returned to Nanchang and then returned to Beijing via Changsha and Wuhan.
After Puyi returned to Beijing, he wrote in his ideological report: "This visit to Jinggangshan made me further appreciate what a difficult and tortuous road the Chinese revolution has taken! ”
