Dugu Tuo (杜陀), courtesy name Li Xie, was the sixth son of The Sui Dynasty's foreign relative Du Guxin and the younger brother of Empress Dowager DuGu of Sui, who was initially appointed as a feudal Zhongxian Bo for his father's military exploits.
Later, his father was framed to death by Yuwen Hu, and the family exiled Shu County, where he lived for seventeen years.
After Yuwen Hu was killed, the Dugutuo family returned to Chang'an.
Emperor Wen of Sui established the Sui Dynasty and appointed Dugu Tuo as a general, and soon became the Assassin of Yingzhou, and later promoted to the post of Shangda General and the Assassin of Yanzhou.

Dali Cheng Yang yuan ordered Xu Ani to call out the cat ghost.

Emperor Wen of Sui listened to Yang Yuan's report and was furious, and immediately issued an edict to kill Dugu Tuo and his wife Yang Shi.

However, the death penalty was spared, the living sin could not be escaped, Dugu Tuo was dismissed from his official position and demoted to a commoner, and his wife Yang Shi was forcibly sent to the temple as a nun.
At the same time, Emperor Wen of Sui issued an edict to kill all those who raised cats and ghosts.
