Founded by local Huang Wenwen, yuanjiang dongting huzhou embankment culture museum was established in December 2018 and approved by the provincial cultural relics bureau in January 2019. According to Huang Wenwen, because of his personal hobbies, he has been collecting all kinds of old artifacts since more than 30 years ago, almost all over the counties and cities around Dongting Lake, in his eyes, these exquisite daily objects record the people of the Lake District for a hundred years of diligent pursuit of a better life; let the passage of time, the humanistic style is still the same, to retain these collections, is to retain a piece of history, to keep a life.

Yuanjiang Dongting Huzhou embankment culture museum is the 26th non-state-owned museum approved by Hunan Province, which uses the former Tea Panzhou Sugar Factory factory with a history of nearly 60 years as an exhibition hall, and has now set up more than 2,000 square meters. The museum now has a collection of nearly 10,000 pieces of various supplies for the production and life of the people in Dongting Lake District, including ten types of various utensils for the early production and life of the people in the Lake District, a variety of old agricultural machinery, video materials for the construction of embankments in the Lake District and other folk miscellaneous items. Most of these artifacts have withdrawn from production and life and become historical "fossils", and some of them are still useful but rare.

The various collections in the museum condense the production and life scenes and civilization development process of the people's farming, fishing and hunting in the Dongting Lake area from different aspects, show the history of the development of Dongting Lake, and intuitively present the evolution of the farming culture, lake embankment culture and fishing tree culture in the Dongting Lake area.

In the next stage, Tea Panzhou Town, Yuanjiang City, will also take this as an entry point to focus on building a farming and study town, attracting tourists from all over the country to come to enjoy the scenery and leisure, find nostalgia, and experience the ancient charm of farming culture.

Luo Chaoyang, deputy secretary of the party committee and mayor of Chapanzhou Town, Yuanjiang City, said: "Our Chapanzhou Town will take the Chapanzhou Cultural Museum, the old sugar factory and the old paper factory as the starting point, focusing on building a study town in agricultural reclamation, attracting tourists from all over the country to chapanzhou, feeling the charm of agricultural reclamation culture, and contributing to the strength of Chapanzhou for a strong cultural city." ”
