Recently, the Haojiang District Museum went to Dahao Qinglan to receive a batch of old folk objects donated by Lin's Dunmu Hall and issued a collection certificate to the Lin Ancestral Hall.
It is reported that the donated collection of Lin's Dunmu Hall includes a batch of Chaoshan traditional folk customs and tourist spirit competition supplies, as well as a set of six silver cakes excavated from the tomb of Lin's ancestor Yuzhuang Cemetery. This batch of old objects further enriches the number and variety of museum collections, which is of great significance to the study of Haojiang folklore and history and culture.
Lin Qingxu, president of the Lin Ancestral Ancestral Council, introduced that among them, the old folk objects are nearly 100 years old, and the excavated silver cakes have a history of more than 500 years. Lin Qingxu said that these objects are a witness to the historical and cultural development of Haojiang, and donating them to the museum can better continue their value and let more people understand the history and culture of Haojiang.
Haojiang District Museum is a comprehensive museum that collects historical relics of Haojiang, carries forward the traditional culture of Haojiang, and studies the economic and social evolution of Haojiang. Since its opening at the end of 2020, it has become a new "punch card" for citizens' culture and leisure. In order to further enrich the number and type of exhibits, in November 2021, the District Museum opened its collection of cultural relics to the public. Since the launch of the collection work, the district museum has visited the street communities under its jurisdiction to gain an in-depth understanding of the clues of cultural relics and the existing protection situation, which has received the attention and support of the majority of enthusiastic people.
