On December 12th, the Sydney Chinese Cultural Centre successfully held a "Classics and Heritage - Australian Outstanding Chinese Young Performers Concert", and Two Outstanding Young Chinese Performers of Australia, Tony Lee and Benett Tsai, performed spiritually and passionately at the Center, which was warmly welcomed by more than 80 audiences. Xiao Xiayong, Director of the Sydney Chinese Cultural Center and Director of the Chinese Tourism Office in Sydney, and Xu Yimao, President of the Australian Chinese Musicians Association, delivered speeches before the performance. Xiao Xiayong said that Li Dongyi and Cai Muen, two talented musicians, jointly performed Chinese and Australian famous songs and world famous songs at the Sydney Chinese Cultural Center, showing their superb playing skills and understanding and grasping of Chinese and Western musical works, which is not only a wonderful presentation of the artistic talents and talents of young Chinese artists, but also a rare exchange of Chinese and Western music. The Sydney Chinese Cultural Centre will hold a series of China-Australia art dialogue activities to actively support outstanding Chinese artists in developing their artistic careers in Australia, making it an important bridge for inheriting Chinese culture, enriching Australia's diverse culture and promoting China-Australia friendship. In the afternoon, Li Dongyi, who is known as "one of Australia's most outstanding young pianists", performed piano solos, including "Sunset Drum" carried by Chinese piano works, "Happy Female Warrior" in the classic Chinese piano solo, and "Skull Dance" in Saint-Saëns & Liszt piano. Named "One of Australia's Next Thirty Outstanding Classical Musicians" by Limelight Magazine, Choi Mu En performed the chinese classic "Rainbow Chasing the Moon" to the piano accompaniment of his father pianist Joshua Tsai, Australian composer Paul Stanhope's "Sigh of Dawn", and Haydn's "Frolic" in D major, Argentine composer Sinastra's "Pemba Prairie" and Saint-Saëns cello "Swan" ”。 Two young talents with skillful playing skills to interpret classical music wonderfully, their solid basic skills and super sense of music are impressive, the live performance is natural and smooth, easy to retract, quite master style, the audience from time to time warm applause, the atmosphere of the whole concert to the boiling point.
The concert, which has been postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was strongly supported by the Australian Chinese Musicians Association and Perth Piano Company.
