Impressions of Hong Kong

author:Vivianhk88

The first foot to fall into the ground in Hong Kong was on Queen's Road between Central and Sheung Wan, and the main theme of the song "Queen's Road East, Queen's Road East..." echoed in taiwanese singer Lo Tai-yoo's mind. I thought that this place should be not bad, at least it is still a relatively popular place in Hong Kong.

It is night, it is the first time of Hong Kong's lights, thousands of lights, a brilliant beautiful night scene. The whole of Hong Kong is like a diamond ring shining brightly, shining in the night. For me, who was in my 20s, my heart was surging and surging and I never stopped. I call it the second time in my life, and so far there has been no unprecedented but probably unprecedented wave flood. In this way, Hong Kong remained in my mind with the beauty of "beyond expectations and beyond imagination". Before coming to Hong Kong, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou and other places did not bring me shock and impact, because they were all lower than I imagined and envisioned. Only Shanghai, barely matching my childhood imagination. Perhaps in the eyes of many domestic friends now, Hong Kong is the bright spot, the goods are richer, the price is advantageous, and it is only secondary. But for me at that time and Hong Kong at that time, it was enough to be a huge wave, subverting most of my understanding of the world!

Impressions of Hong Kong

That night, I lived in the mansion in the middle of the Moxingling Mountains in the west of Hong Kong, and the room I lived in was a study, and I could look at the 180-degree sea and the azaleas that bloomed like spring on the edge of the sea rock, and the color of peach was so red, red to my heart and dreams...

When they woke up the next day, the workers had prepared in the living room a variety of pastries and English black teas placed in exquisite silverware. For the first time in my life, I enjoyed authentic and mellow English morning tea. For the first time, I also knew the role of milk in Ceylon black tea, in addition to improving the taste, but also in order to make the hot boiling black tea into a neutral temperature and suitable for drinking. Because the hostess loves beautiful and delicate porcelain as much as I do. In a porcelain cup made of large roses flown back from France, enjoy the aroma of milk and tea in an English morning tea; surrounded by endless and beautiful sea views; I even had a very unreal sense of dreaminess in a few moments. I have a feeling of "where I am in this life". Because it naturally seems to coincide with some of my expectations or certain imaginations of more than 20 years, and it seems so far away that it exists only in stories or dreams. After all, it was still a dreaming age, of course, it was also related to my study of English in college and the infiltration of Western thought. I feel that after living for more than 20 years, it seems that I am waiting for such a lazy, casual, and somewhat drunken life. I feel that I am so suitable for this city, because the breath is smooth, the mood is pleasant, just like the nature of the fish that naturally likes the sea.

Impressions of Hong Kong

The following day, I was already leading the group on Hollywood, Hollywood, Central. Passing by The Man Mo Temple, Mo Mo Street, SOHU District, Lan Kwai Fong, I still stubbornly believe that they are the essence of Hong Kong. Instead of Causeway Bay, Purple Flower Plaza and Avenue of Stars.

On the second day of arriving in Hong Kong, we were greeted by a hospitable French PR firm. After lunch, it was already a sea of singing and laughter. It's no exaggeration to describe it as an ocean, because the semi-open-air restaurants are full of guitar sounds, singing, and constantly joining the crowd of unknown people, constantly joining the same laughter. So the impression of Hong Kong humanities on me is friendly, free, open, inclusive and very international. So I'm very convinced that even if it's the same leaf, everyone's view of it can be completely different, even contrary. Because the angle of view, the time of looking, the person who sees and the person who guides you are different. I'm glad I saw that beautiful side of Hong Kong.

In the days that follow, I loved walking early in the morning on the unknowable paths of The Slopes of The Bow forest, enjoying the quiet and elegant scent of flowers and morning dew... I like to walk through the old houses and wet steps of Sheung Wan East Side Street, casually find an old-fashioned tea restaurant with a sense of age, eat a heavy toast, drink a cup of rich stocking milk tea... I love the antiques and furniture shops at HOLYWOOD, searching for old yellowed shanghai-style beauty pictures and strange portraits of leaders created by some unknown artistic style... I love walking along Hong Kong's longest escalator, slowly up the road, admiring the bustle of the SOHU district and the hilarious variety of English advertisements... I love the mesmerizing sound of the most old-fashioned phonograph in the alley at the entrance of the shop... I liked that at that time, because of my work, I had to walk back and forth up and down the hill in Central every day, and it practiced my foot strength that I can walk like a fly so far... I like to linger on the Yili Street in the SOHU district, and see the international restaurants and bars that are either quaint, or heavy, or gorgeous, or elegant, which are not decoration, but have their own style and self-contained care, which amazes me and benefits a lot... I love the grocery stores that find food that have been flown in from all over Europe in the small streets on both sides of the main road, and can find chocolates and other novelties that will surprise you at a very good price... I even like to sit at the door of the food stall at night, drink a glass of Jin Mei beer on a plate of Cantonese side dishes, and on the way home, I may encounter the film scene of Hong Kong Wireless... I love the piety and happiness of the newcomers in white dresses on Sundays, sunny mornings, in the churches of the sacred fairytale palaces...

Impressions of Hong Kong

These likes are my memories of Hong Kong, and I stubbornly put them in the corner of my heart called Hong Kong, stubbornly unwilling to let them be replaced by other memories.

Another place in Hong Kong that I feel very deeply is the harmony between man and nature, the harmony between nature and society, and the harmony between man and man. In China, I can't find a city that preserves and integrates nature and city, tranquility and prosperity, civilization and primitiveness, modernity and tradition, elegance and market as perfectly as Hong Kong. The city has the sea, islands, green mountains, rich layers of cement forests, quiet lakes in the south, white and thin beaches, the most modern and modern SHOPPING MALL, English churches and squares, seabirds that are not afraid of people, cement irrigation mountains with good water and soil preservation, traditional Chinese New Year parades, food and bars from all over the world, various ethnic groups, various cultures intertwined, and capitals from all over the world.

Impressions of Hong Kong

All I can say is that it's a very wonderful city!

Regrettably, Hong Kong has changed over the years, from an elegant and chic young woman to a whiny, vulgar and grumpy woman today. And those beautiful years can only remain in the memory. I can only lament that the process of assimilation of cities and people is a terrible process that makes the whole world boring and lifeless!

The deceased is like Sifu...

Beauty can only bloom in the memories of the depths of the heart!
