In everyone's daily life, common large tractors generally come from Mercedes-Benz and Scania, while other European brands of large-scale vehicles are rarely seen. Barriers in the field of large-scale transport are high, and only a deep foundation can be successful in this special market. Just recently, DUFF partnered with Rudolf Bohlje to customize two oversize cars for the German company Europatrans.

The two oversized vehicles are based on the DUF XF 530, with an 8x4 drive configuration and a maximum towing capacity of 150 tons, which is also one of the strongest tractors that DUF has ever delivered. What kind of stunt does it have? Today, the Tiga Commercial Vehicle Network will take you to feel it.
From the outside, this car is not much different from the ordinary Duff XF tractor. The tall Super Space Cab offers unparalleled interior rest space, allowing drivers to get plenty of rest in between long hauls. The roof light stand is equipped with air horns, searchlights and rotating warning lights, which are also practical configurations for large-scale transportation.
The vehicle is painted in the iconic pale blue livery of Europatrans. In Europe, many transport companies have their own representative colors, which are used to highlight their special position in the industry. Under the roof light stand is painted the company logo and introduction, and under the windshield is painted the company website. On the side of the vehicle, there is also personalized spraying.
Turn the viewing angle to the side. The DUF XF with its four-axle configuration is rare, which is the most distinctive feature of the car. Paired with this XF oversize car is the German DOLL Panther low flatbed trailer with a four-axle configuration. DOLL's Panther series trailers are equipped with the revolutionary Panther Technology, and the longer suspension stroke and greater steering angle give the trailer better maneuverability, which is why it was named Panther (Jaguar).
Looking closely at the spray paint on the side of the cab, the DUF XF model logo is retained, and below the logo is the name of the modification plant. Europatrans's logo is inspired by wind turbine blades, which is one of the company's specialties. After all, the company's main business is to engage in wind power engineering.
In the back, there is a strange pattern. The motif, called the "Seagull Man," is the mascot of Europatrans, symbolizing the safety and security of the project.
The aftertreatment and exhaust sections are also installed on the left side of the vehicle. The housing baffle of the aftertreatment system has a foldable foot pedal and the exhaust port is placed below. After the aftertreatment system, is the vehicle's urea tank.
The large bag at the rear of the vehicle is designed with ingenuity. DUF officially did not provide kits related to bulky packages, so the entire structure was customized by Rudolf Bohlje in the later period. In addition, the vehicle uses a normal 530 hp MX-13 engine with a ZF TraXon transmission, does not carry a torque converter, and naturally does not have a large radiator placed behind the cab.
The entire oversize bag consists of a large size fuel tank + a double storage box on the left and right. The electrical connection area is placed on top of the tank. The brake gas receiver is also placed on top of the bulky package and comes with a work light that illuminates the working range.
The side of the chassis of the vehicle did not leave enough space for the battery, so the battery was also moved to the storage compartment of the large bag for installation. The battery is placed on a pull-out tray for easy maintenance and replacement. The vehicle is equipped with a double battery to leave enough space for lighting when the vehicle is working.
The layout on the right side of the vehicle is the same, with the huge space between the first and second axes occupied by a large storage box.
The vehicle is driven in 8x4 form, and both rear axles are wheel-side deceleration bridges with air suspension. At the same time, the heavy-duty saddle equipped with this car can be adjusted front and rear to accommodate different gooseneck lengths.
Both front axles are follow-up bridges with steering capability, reducing the vehicle's steering radius and enhancing maneuverability.
At the rear of the vehicle, two large brake gas tanks were attached.
The cab trim is no different from that of a regular DUFF XF model. Shelves are installed on the dashboard to facilitate the placement of items. Carpets are made of soft wrap for added comfort. The interior of the DUFF Super Space Cab cab is extremely spacious. Although it was born for decades, it is still timeless.
The first DUF XF 530 FTM 8x4 large tractor joined Europatrans in April 2021 and is mainly engaged in the transport of heavy machinery. Although the 530 horsepower is relatively weak in front of other vehicles, this medium-performance large-scale tractor is exactly what Europatrans lacks. The company was very satisfied with the car and purchased an additional model of the same type, which is now fully operational. Thank you for reading this article!
