The Hong Kong Heritage Museum will hold the competition exhibition "Still and Moving – Hong Kong International Poster 3 Annual Exhibition 2021" from 15 December, featuring 116 groups of entries from around the world, as well as the masterpieces of four internationally renowned designers who served as judges of the competition, to showcase the multiculturalism of international graphic designers and the creativity of "static and moving". Since 2001, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and the Hong Kong Designers Association have collaborated to organise the "Hong Kong International Poster Triennial" to document and promote the development process of contemporary international poster design through competitions, exhibitions and seminars. In addition to the public collection of printed posters in the three categories of "Ideology", "Promotion of Cultural Activities" and "Commerce and Advertising", this year's Triennial also set up a "Dynamic Posters" group for the first time to collect digital posters created using dynamic elements, and received a total of 2299 groups of posters from more than 50 countries or regions. By four internationally renowned designers, including Chinese mainland's Bi Xuefeng and Switzerland's Eric Berger. Bridge, Japan's Okuma Anda Osamu of Japan and Lisa of Germany. A professional jury of Pang Lenger will select 16 groups of winning works and 100 selected works of different styles, which will be unveiled in the exhibition. Speaking at today's opening ceremony, The Assistant Director-General of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong, Tammy Chan, said that today's technological developments allow poster designers to convey their messages with more lively and imaginative moving images. In response to this trend, the new "Dynamic Posters" group added this year specifically commends designers for incorporating new dynamic techniques into their designs. Viewers can also experience the innovative technology and creativity of these dynamic posters through the augmented reality technology app of their smartphones. Other officiating guests in attendance included Leung Si-wai, Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Designers Association, Mr Law Wing-sang, Chairman of the Art Task Force of the Museum Advisory Committee, and Lo See-suk, Director-General of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.
