Times Finance learned that from the beginning of November to the middle of December, Zhengzhou and Shenzhen Foxconn Parks have recruited with higher salaries, and the former has offered a high rebate of 8500 yuan to 9500 yuan.

"Listening to the old employees, the task of the production line in the first two months was still 2,000 Apple mobile phones per day, and now it has risen to nearly 5,000 units." Li Ru of Shenzhen Foxconn's Guanlan plant said that except for Sunday, she has been working and working overtime every day recently.

"I really can't have a moment to rest, I can't hold on to it"

Early in the morning after the night shift, Li Ru took off her finger sleeves and skillfully tore off the layer of white dead skin on her thumb, which was the result of repeating an action eight or nine hundred times throughout the night.

After entering the factory on November 24, she went to work a one-week day shift, and then entered a one-month night shift, working from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm, 12:30 pm to 4:30 am, and then working overtime until 6:30 or 7 o'clock in the morning, and the mobile phone and water cup could not be brought into the workshop.

"There really can't be a moment of rest, keeping your eyes open... The head is suddenly ringing, and the heartbeat is particularly fast. The assembly line did not stop, Li Ru did not stop, repeating the action of picking up, detecting, and putting down, "The night shift is really too boiling, the workshop is very loud, I am really afraid of tinnitus... I really felt like I couldn't hold on. ”

Every night, Li Ru has to detect eight or nine hundred Apple mobile phones, on the assembly line, there are 5 people who do the same work as her, a total of nearly 5,000 Apple mobile phones. An old employee told Li Ru that two months ago, the daily output of this production line was still 2,000 units.

"When I come back from work, I just want to rest, and when I end my break, I just want to look at my phone, and I always feel very tired." Li Ru decided to resign at the end of December, even if she did not work for three months and did not get a refund of 4560 yuan, even if she could only receive a salary of more than 3000 yuan in December, and the hourly work could only be exchanged for less than 15 yuan.

"It's the peak production season, and there's a lot of overtime." Sun Hai, an assembly worker at Zhengzhou Foxconn, entered the factory in early November, worked 60 hours of overtime that month, and once did not have a holiday on Sunday, and went to work for 13 consecutive days.

He said that if you don't want to work overtime, you need to apply to the leader, but the leader generally will not approve. He once refused to work overtime and forcibly left the workshop, and afterwards the leader asked him to sign a notebook and admit that he did not work overtime according to the production arrangement.

Zhengzhou Foxconn returned nearly 10,000 yuan, comparable to the summer vacation

"According to the practice of previous years, at the end of the year, it will not be very busy, and the dispatched workers will be transferred, and this year it is abnormal, and it is used to recruit people with high rebate fees." Zhou Yang, an old employee of Shenzhen Foxconn, said that at present, there are many orders for Apple mobile phones, and they cannot be done.

Every September, Apple releases new phones, and accordingly, the summer is often foxconn's biggest order volume and highest rebate of the year. But unlike previous years, this year Foxconn ushered in a new wave of climax in November and continued until December.

At present, Shenzhen Foxconn's rebate fee for new regular workers is 4560 yuan. Newcomers recommended by internal employees can receive a one-time 4200 yuan after 3 months of employment, and another 360 yuan new person entry award. The policy was introduced in mid-November.

Times Finance learned that 4560 yuan is the highest rebate since September for Shenzhen Foxconn, and from the beginning of September to the beginning of November, the rebate of Shenzhen Foxconn fluctuated between 1860-2760 yuan.

Zhengzhou Foxconn basic salary is lower, the rebate is higher, from the beginning of November, after internal recommendation to join the new person in the job for more than 90 days and punch 55 days can get 8500-9500 yuan rebate, the introducer bonus is 500 yuan. At the end of October, The highest rebate for Zhengzhou Foxconn was only 7,000 yuan.

Zhengzhou Foxconn's recent recruitment policy

At present, Foxconn's rebate is only lower than the highest price in mid-August, when Zhengzhou Foxconn newcomers can get up to 11,500 yuan in rebates, and new recruits at Shenzhen Foxconn can get up to 6360 yuan in rebates.

From late September last year to April this year, Shenzhen Foxconn's rebate basically fluctuated between 560 yuan and 2160 yuan, and the rebate was 2160 yuan in early November last year.

Times Finance observed that Foxconn has a lot of "rework", working for three or four months, getting a rebate and leaving, because the salary is very low. At present, if there is no return and overtime pay, ordinary workers in Zhengzhou and Shenzhen Foxconn can only get 1900 yuan and 2300 yuan per month during the probationary period.

Apple sales first, production is affected by the lack of core

Why did Foxconn reach a peak in production in November?

First of all, this is related to market demand. According to data from market research agency CINNO Research, in October this year, Apple's mobile phone sales in the Chinese market reached 6.5 million units, surpassing OPPO, vivo, glory and other domestic mobile phone brands, and the sales volume jumped to the first place in the domestic mobile phone market.

CINNO Research analysts believe that in the Chinese market, Apple's mobile phone sales rose sharply by 155% year-on-year in October, mainly due to the good market performance of the iPhone 13 series, and the fourth quarter is expected to reach the peak of annual sales.

At the same time, Apple's mobile phones are limited by the supply chain. At the earnings report meeting in July this year, Apple said that the chip shortage has affected the production of Macs and iPads, and the chip shortage may continue to limit Apple's hardware supply in the future.

And a person familiar with the matter revealed to Nikkei Asia that Apple's production target for the iPhone 13 series in September and October was 20% worse than expected, and Nikkei Asia reported that Apple had told suppliers to "re-accelerate iPhone production in November, December and January."

Times Finance observed a number of employees and intermediaries who have been recruiting for Shenzhen Foxconn for many years, and found that from late September to mid-October, they did not release recruitment information for hourly workers, and regular job recruitment information is rare. Henan boy Sun Hai told Times Finance that Zhengzhou Foxconn stopped recruiting in October.

"Some time ago, there was less overtime because there was no chip, and now the chip supply is up, busy." Zhou Yang, who has worked at Foxconn in Shenzhen for 6 years, said that he may also have to work overtime on New Year's Day.
