Artifacts "home"! Two Ming Dynasty pottery figurines are in the Shanghai Museum

The reporter learned from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage on the 13th that Ms. Suzanne Fratus of the United States donated two Ming Dynasty pottery figurines from China to the Shanghai Museum. The two figurines were acquired by Suzanne Fratus's grandfather while practicing medicine in China in the early 20th century and were inherited by her when she brought them back to the United States. In April, Ms. Suzanne Fratus sent two figurines to the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco, expressing the hope that the artifacts would be returned to the Chinese. According to the appraisal, the two pottery figurines are Ming Dynasty funerary ming vessels, which are precious physical materials for the study of the ancient Chinese tomb system and the history of pottery making, which have important collection value and are determined to be third-level cultural relics.
