Growing a "tail" on your ass? The harm of sitting for a long time adds another...

| Editor/Curator: CICI Editor:Yellow&Fanny Review: Li Yun

Have you ever heard of the disease "Tibetan hairy sinus"? Many people may feel strange. Tibetan hairy sinus is commonly known as "jeep disease", because during World War II, the disease was more common in the United States and British soldiers who often rode in jeeps, so it was named jeep disease.

However, this unpopular disease, in recent years, the incidence in China has an upward trend. What kind of disease is the Tibetan hairy sinus, and how did it come about? Don't worry, look down.

What is the disease of the tibetan sinus?

The hidden sinus, to put it simply, is a disease in which the hair will hide under the skin and form a foreign body, causing local inflammation to form a sinus tract.

The area of onset is usually below the skin in the midline of the sacral tail (a little above the ass groove), especially where the sacral tail is often rubbed.

What causes it?

The pathogenesis is divided into two types: congenital and acquired.

Congenital theory holds that the tibetan hairy sinuses are caused by remnants of congenital epithelium, or congenital skin depressions, and become onset in adulthood.

Acquired theory is that due to the repeated twisting and rubbing of the buttocks, the body hair slowly pierces into the skin, forming a sinus tract.

When the hair falls off, it is inhaled into the sinus tract and accumulates in the subcutaneous fat layer, forming a foreign body. Once infected, it can cause chronic infection or abscess.

What are the common populations?

In general, this disease is more common in Caucasians (Caucasians), and yellows are more rare. However, in recent years, the incidence of the disease in China has also gradually increased, and both men and women will appear.

The most common population is men aged 18 to 40 years old, and 20-30 years old is the peak period of onset, and the incidence of males is about 3 times that of females. Prolonged sitting, obesity, thick hair, and deep inter-hip fissures are predisposing factors.

Symptoms of the tibetan sinus

●Initial manifestations

In the beginning, some people have no obvious symptoms. Some patients present with a lesion that has been inadvertently discovered, or some who feel recurrent pain, swelling, or cysts of the sacrumcoccygeal area after foreign body infection.

●Acute onset

If the acute onset of a tibetan sinus infection occurs, it is manifested as redness, swelling, fever, pain, and crushing pain. Squeezing hard will discharge more purulent discharge. Some may also be accompanied by systemic clinical manifestations such as acute infection.

The sacrumcoccygeal area is susceptible to infection with bacteria such as streptococcus or E. coli, and the infection rate is high. Therefore, if you find that a lump appears above your ass, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a check-up first.

What are the treatments?

●Surgical treatment

The surgical treatment of the Tibetan sinus is a more unified view at present, but the surgical treatment method will also vary depending on the location, the extent of the lesion and the degree of infection.

●Non-surgical treatment

There are two main methods of nonoperative treatment in general: anti-infective therapy (only used as an adjunct to surgery) and sclerotherapy (injected into the sinus tract with 80% phenolic solution or anhydrous alcohol).

For patients with no symptoms, if the lesion is only inadvertently found, it is recommended to observe first, not to treat. If there is an abnormality, it is still necessary to go to the hospital as soon as possible for diagnosis and treatment.

How can it be prevented?

The picture of the surgical treatment of the hidden sinus is really very high-powered, so it will not be shown to you here. (If you are interested, you can go to the Internet to search ~) Xiao Liang I looked at a few pictures of surgery and felt that it was necessary for everyone to prevent this disease.

First of all, it is still said that you are tired, avoid sitting for a long time, whether it is an office worker or a driver who drives a long-distance bus, after sitting for a few hours, you still have to stand for a while, or get off the car and walk around.

Secondly, reduce the pressure and friction of the sacrum, the sitting posture should be adjusted, and the chair should be mainly comfortable.

Finally, the part of the hairy sinus is relatively close to the buttocks, so it is easy to infect bacteria, so be sure to pay attention to personal hygiene, and remember to clean this area when taking a bath.

Do you have anyone around you who has hidden the hairy sinus, share this article to your friends, to prevent trouble.
