During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Dongda Mulberry Tree Village in Huangjia Town, Leling City was the seat of the central organ of the party, government, and army in the Jilubian base area. In the spring of 1939, due to changes in the situation of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Special Work Committee of the Jilu Border Region, the Military and Political Committee, the Eighth Route Army's Eastward Anti-Japanese Advance Column, the Jilu Border Military Region, and other central organs of the party, government, and army were transferred from Leling County to Dongda Mulberry Village. In August, the CCP organization launched the Huangjia Uprising here, forming the early peasant anti-Japanese armed forces in Shandong Province.
In recent years, the local government has restored the old revolutionary site of Dongda Mulberry Village. Many anti-Japanese historical sites, such as the former site of the Huangjia Uprising, the former site of the Jilubian Branch of the Beihai Bank, the former site of the headquarters of the 6th Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the former site of the Military and Political Committee of the Jilu Border Region, the former site of the Women's Anti-Japanese National Salvation Association of the Jilu Border Region, the former site of the Jilu Border District Cultural and Educational National Salvation Association, the former site of the Jilu Border Region Battlefield Mobilization Committee, and the former site of the Peasants' Anti-Japanese National Salvation Association, have been repaired, forming a group of revolutionary sites in Dongda Mulberry Village.
