In March 1962, Liu Chengsi flew the miG-15, the most advanced fighter of the Chinese mainland, from Zhejiang Luqiao icon to Taiwan and landed at Taoyuan Air Base.

He immediately received 1,000 taels of gold from the Taiwan authorities. Later, he joined the Kuomintang Air Force and became the deputy director of the Air Force Radio Colonel.

This was the first incident of pilot defection since the founding of New China. The shock is extremely high, and the punishment is extremely severe.

From the leaders of Liu Chengsi's flying squadron and brigade to the commander of the Navy's China Eastern Airlines, they were all dismissed or punished. The 6th HNA Division, which was in the battle of Zhejiang Luqiao at the time, was transferred directly from the front line back to Shanghai.

In his hometown in Hunan, the Liu family directly removed him from the family tree, and his parents and Liu Chengsi directly severed their relationship.

In 1964, Liu Chengsi married Cai Jianmei, the daughter of the inspector general of the Taipei Police Department, but Cai Jianmei was a secret agent who came to monitor him. And Cai Jianmei can no longer have children, so the two are infertile.

Later, Liu Chengsi's scenery was no longer beautiful - his wife Cai Jianmei directly divorced Liu Chengsi and swept away his remaining money. Only Liu Chengsi was left, alone in his later years, living in embarrassment, and very desolate.
