84 years ago, on December 13, 1937, the Japanese army invaded and occupied Nanjing, burned and plundered, and did nothing wrong, and the ancient capital of Nanjing became a purgatory on earth. After six weeks of bloody massacres, they killed more than 300,000 Chinese civilians and captured soldiers in Nanjing, using collective shooting, burial alive, knife splitting, and burning. The ancient capital of Nanjing was a river of blood.
On average, one compatriot is killed every 12 seconds, and the figure of 300,000 is only the number of people who died in the Nanjing Massacre, not including the injured.
Some 20,000 women were raped, abused, and even more brutally brutalized to death, and many became "comfort women" that inflicted irreparable wounds on tens of thousands of families.
During the Japanese occupation of Nanjing, one-third of the buildings in Nanjing were burned down, and the property losses were countless. The ancient capital of Nanjing suffered unprecedented damage.
At that time, Nanjing was full of blood; Nanjing at that time was full of wailing; Nanjing at that time was reduced to purgatory on earth... This tragic history of the nation needs to be remembered by every countryman: backwardness means being beaten, and forgetting the past means betrayal. Remembering history is not to perpetuate hatred, but to perpetuate peace and justice!
Today is national memorial day, no matter where you are, no matter what you are doing, when the alarm sounds in the air, please stop, put down your work, set aside a minute, with a sincere and sad heart, for the nanjing massacre victims of the silent mourning.
