At the end of September, inventory levels rose at Renesas Electronics in Japan, NXP Semiconductors in the Netherlands, Infineon Technologies in Germany, STMicroelectronics GmbH in Switzerland and Texas Instruments in the United States.
The report also said that the outlook for the coming months remains uncertain as demand remains high. But rising chip inventory levels suggest that the supply tension that forced car companies to shut down assembly lines this summer is easing due to factors such as increased production by chipmakers.
