Looking at the revolutionary history of the CCP, the Chinese revolution has two important cradles, one is often known as Jinggang Mountain, and the other is the less familiar Dabie Mountain.

However, this red base area of Dabie Mountain, which was not widely publicized in the past, has cultivated many outstanding senior generals of the Red Army. Among the generals of the Republic who were awarded the rank in 1955, a large number of officers, such as Xu Shuai, General Xu Haidong, General Chen Geng, Xu Shiyou, and General Han Xianchu, all walked out of here.

Behind every general there are many legends, every general has made great achievements, and every general has paid blood and sweat in the smoke of war.

The general we introduce today is also from dabie Mountain, in the war years, he was born into death, has been wounded 9 times, there are as many as 13 scars on the body, the most serious one almost killed, this legendary general is the founding lieutenant general Liang Congxue.

In 1903, Liang Congxue was born in the countryside of Lu'an County, to a poor family and had been farming for generations. From the age of 11, he learned to farm with his father, and the family worked hard all year round, but still could not afford to pay the high rent. It was not until the autumn of 1929, under the leadership of the Provisional Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in Anhui, that the peasant movement in western Anhui was in full swing, and Liang Congxue joined the Soviet Peasants' Association, and soon joined the Red Guards, joining the Party in the same year.

In March 1930, the Red Guards wanted to select outstanding elements to supplement the main force of the Red Army, and Liang Congxue was selected to serve as a soldier in the second company of the first battalion of the Lu'an County Independent Regiment, and in November he was promoted to platoon commander, and participated in the first, second and third anti-encirclement and suppression battles in the Eyu-Anhui base area. Liang Congxue fought bravely in the army and made rapid progress, and in 1934 he had grown to become the commander of the 82nd Division of the Red 25th Army.

In March of that year, Liang Congxue participated in the counterattack at Geteng Mountain, commanded by the military commander Xu Haidong, in nanxi town, Jinzhai County. In the Battle of Hupuling, he commanded his troops to launch a surprise attack behind the enemy's flank, fiercely fighting for more than 1 hour, crushing 1 enemy brigade, killing and wounding more than 1,000 enemy personnel, and capturing more than 300 people including the commander of the 54th Division. This battle also gave him the title of "Old Yellow Calf" in the army - like an old yellow bull, bravely moving forward and working hard.

After the Anhui Incident in 1941, Liang Congxue served as the brigade commander of the Fourth Brigade of the Second Division of the New Fourth Army, leading the troops to break the raids in the Yangzhou and Tianchang areas, destroying the enemy's communication lines and bunkers. The troops fought several victorious battles in succession, which made the Japanese very sad and prepared to retaliate against the New Fourth Army. One day in April, the Japanese puppet army dispatched more than 700 people to sneak into the New Fourth Army, and Liang Cong learned a "plum blossom tactic", that is, dividing the troops into five parts and stationing them near Jinniu Mountain, if one point was attacked, the other points could be quickly supported. The battle was fought from 7 a.m. to more than 3 p.m., and was very fierce, and finally eliminated more than 500 Japanese puppet troops.

During the war years, Liang Congxue was born and died, and was wounded 9 times, with as many as 13 scars on his body, the most serious one occurred in August 1936, when Liang Congxue was ordered to enter the Huanggang area of Hubei Province, encountered enemy resistance, the battle was very fierce, a bullet from Liang Congxue's chest and through the back. The bullet passed through the middle of the heart and pulmonary arteries, whether a little to the left or a little to the right, and it was certainly dead. At that time, Liang Congxue was unconscious on the spot, and after the battle, the troops thought he had died and withdrew.

Fortunately, an old local man knew that the Red Army would be wounded after the battle. After the battle, she rushed to the battlefield and found Liang Congxue lying on the ground still breathing, so she took it to her home to bandage. After a brief treatment, Liang Congxue heard that there were guerrillas nearby, and he gritted his teeth and walked for four days, and finally found there. At that time, there was a shortage of medical treatment in the army, and in order to treat it, some indigenous methods could only be used - using loofah scoops and putting them on the wounds. The human body temperature is hot, the loofah scoop is cold, and the maggots will crawl into the loofah scoop. Every day, he endured severe pain to change the loofah scoop, and in this way, he slowly healed the wound.

When he was awarded the title in 1955, liang congxue was originally given the rank of major general, and he himself had no opinion, but many people complained about him: just by virtue of those injuries on Old Liang's body, he should not be rated as a major general!

Elder Chen was always the old leader of Liang Congxue, and he also felt that his rank was too low, which reflected it to the above, and later Liang Congxue's title was changed to lieutenant general.

In April 1973, General Liang Died in Nanjing due to illness at the age of 70.
