84 years ago, on December 13, 1937, the Japanese army captured Nanjing, creating the "Nanjing Massacre" tragedy that shocked China and foreign countries.
After the fall of Nanjing, the invading Japanese army carried out an organized, planned, and premeditated massacre and bloody atrocities for 6 weeks.
In the more than a month after the fall of Nanking, on average, every 12 seconds, a compatriot was brutally slaughtered by the Japanese army.
In the Nanjing Massacre, a large number of civilians and prisoners of war were killed, countless families were torn apart, and more than 300,000 people were killed.

Chinese cultural treasures have also been plundered in this bloody and tears disaster. According to investigations, after the Japanese invaders occupied Nanjing, they snatched about 880,000 books and documents.
After the Japanese army entered Nanjing, in addition to barbaric massacres and looting, the most common crime was sexual violence against women. Rabe, then chairman of the International Committee, estimated that there were at least 20,000 rapes of women by the Japanese army in Nanjing.
Of the 59 major war criminals who committed the Nanjing Massacre, 54 were not severely punished at all. Only 5 people were actually sentenced to death for the Nanjing Massacre.
As of November 2021, there are only 61 survivors of the Nanjing Massacre on record.
