This summer, after playing motorcycles for a few months, adding some car clubs, and going out to play a few times, I found that China's motorcycle culture was quite missing.
The problem mainly focuses on the mentality of users, as well as the state of the enterprise.

1. The status of the enterprise.
At present, the sales of Chinese motorcycles are still dominated by foreign-funded enterprises, Honda, Suzuki, BMW and other enterprises are still the hegemons of the high-end motorcycle market, and the entry motorcycles show a situation of domestic dominance and foreign capital grabbing.
It is very obvious to perceive that in the more than 40,000 motorcycle market, Chinese brands have no power to grab.
That is to say, Chinese brands still only have ordinary competitiveness, the low-end market has little living space, and the high-end market does not have any right to speak and pricing power.
Generally speaking, foreign capital has a stronger profit margin and profitability, and the root of this situation is the unbalanced development of motorcycles as a new rising market.
2. Pricing of motorcycles.
The unbalanced development status quo is fundamentally that Chinese brands lack core competitiveness, and word of mouth, market, technology, etc. are not perfect enough, making the product positioning generally low and there is no ability to participate in the higher end market.
So one of the phenomena we see is that the pricing of foreign motorcycles can be said to be how much to set.
A 500cc motorcycle is priced at 50,000, an 800cc motorcycle is priced at 120,000, and a 1200cc motorcycle needs more than 200,000.
How much does a BMW waterfowl cost? A 1.2L BMW motorcycle is priced at up to 240,000, put two years ago, can buy a BMW 3 Series, of which the production cost, tax cost, core value who is more sufficient, I think there is no need to say more.
No matter how strong the electronic control system is, the water bird has no advantage in the face of the 3 series.
The pricing of motorcycles can be said to be very difficult to understand, behind the high is the desire of foreign companies for huge profits, because there is no Chinese enterprise to seize the market, so foreign companies have no opponents, crazy spread their own brand value.
3, the mentality of playing motorcycles.
Motorcycles always pay attention to only one word, fast.
In fact, the speed of the motorcycle must be based on the lack of safety, often 5 seconds of acceleration, there are still a large number of car owners feel that such acceleration is not fast enough, the pursuit of faster acceleration, 4 seconds, 3.5 seconds, and finally require 3 seconds of acceleration.
Up there, many car supervisors can't hold their right hands.
For example, a car with a 5-second acceleration needs hundreds of thousands, a car with a 4-second acceleration needs millions, and a car with 3-second acceleration needs millions.
The threshold is higher, there are fewer people to buy, plus the appeal of driving may be more of a wind and rain, so the mentality is safer, coupled with the advantages of the structure, even if the car is fast, it is faster and safer than the motorcycle.
Many motorcycle owners can't control their right hand.
According to the data released by the relevant departments of Laixi City (Shandong), motorcycle accidents accounted for 31% of the more than 1,100 traffic accidents handled.
Such accident rates are already very high.
And for ordinary motorcycles, do you really need motorcycles that can't move 500cc, 800cc or even public upgrades? Many companies bring track-designed motorcycles to the market, which is a very incredible practice in itself.
For example, Kawasaki's H2 series is a track car, the acceleration has been fast to 3 seconds, these companies are only responsible for selling cars and not responsible for the owner's mentality education, can not control their right hand, can only increase the safety hazards.
In fact, in Europe, motorcycle driving licenses are also hierarchical.
Not only the corresponding model, but also the corresponding age, you are not old enough to drive heavyweight motorcycles, why? In order to hone your mindset.
The AM-level driver's license can only allow young people under the age of 20 to drive a motorcycle within 50cc, and the A2 can drive a motorcycle with a maximum of 35kW, but the grade is locked at 20 years old.
Europe has requirements for age, displacement, and power, because the motorcycle accelerates too fast, and it accelerates in 5 seconds at every turn, and it will cause trouble if you can't control your own hands.
But there are no requirements for these in China, as long as you take the driver's license, you can directly buy the violent machine of Kawasaki H2.
And what I have seen on various social platforms is that the most common word for motorcycle owners is not safety, but "crash straight line", as long as someone overtakes their car, it must collapse back, often replaced by an irrational driving style and speeding tickets.
Looking back, does the Chinese motorcycle market really have the so-called chivalry?
