Xingshu and Kaishu are Zhao Mengfu's best at calligraphy, especially the highest attainment of Kaishu, and some people in later generations have included it in the four houses of Kaishu: "Yan, Liu, Ou, and Zhao". His letters are round and vigorous, and they are not greasy. Today, we will list all of Zhao's classic works that he never tires of reading.
"Emperor's Boldness Monument"
The calligraphy of the "Tablet of Courage" is beautiful, the law is rigorous, and the spirit is radiant. Looking closely at the pen used, it can be said that it is intended to be the pen first, the pen to the law follows, the pen is sharpened, the turn is frustrated, gentle and elegant; the inside is carefully examined, and the iron painting silver hook. Zhao Mengfu attaches special importance to the use of pens, although there are no major ups and downs, but quite a change, in a peaceful state to be subtly expressed, can be described as a miracle in peace.

It is a representative work of Zhao Mengfu's book.
"Tombstone of Qiu Yi"
The book was written in the sixth year of Yanyou (1320 AD), which is a representative work of Zhao Mengfu in his later years, with a neat and powerful penmanship, a beautiful old and healthy, a meticulous stroke, a deep and stable bone, which is different from the common Zhao Shu feminine and sweet. The pen is smooth and casual, but it is also in order, the law is strict, and its knot body is sparse and handsome, flowing and free, almost flawless.
The characteristics of zhao ti italics can be summarized in three!
First, cut the complex and simplify, and change the past into the present. Its pen does not contain mud, the starting pen is not mysterious, and the pen path is very clear, making it easy for scholars to understand and follow;
Second, the appearance is rounded and connotative. His dot paintings are full of vigor, the knots are wide and beautiful, and the echo between the dot paintings is very close. The outside seems to be soft and the inside is solid and strong, the shape is beautiful and the skeleton is strong. Scholars not only learn their forms, but focus on learning their gods;
Third, the pen round frame square, flow belt line. When writing Zhao body, the dot painting needs to be round and huazi, but the structural cloth white should pay great attention to the square and rigorous, horizontal and straight, skimming and stretching, and the focus is stable. Only in this way can we grasp the characteristics of the Zhao body. In addition, when he wrote the script, he slightly mixed with the brushwork of the line book, so that the flow of characters was beautiful and moving, which was also one of the characteristics of the Zhao body.
