Today, I bring you a group of landscape albums that have been praised by the calligrapher Qi Gong as "the best in the world and the unparalleled in the world", and the "Song Emperor Proposition Book" by Ma Yuan of the Southern Song Dynasty.
This album was originally collected by French collectors in the late Qing Dynasty, and later into the hands of Chinese-American collector Wang Jiqian.
What does the Book of Propositions of the Song Emperor draw?
The album contains ten pages, each with a painting on the left and a calligraphy on the right. The center of the painting measures 28 cm long and 27 cm high, and is colored on silk, between ink and turquoise.
After the "Kaixi Northern Expedition", the Song lost to the Jin Dynasty, and there was also the "Jia Ding Peace". After the peace, Emperor Ningzong of Song lost power. After that, Song Ningzong began to love landscapes. This ten-folio album depicts ten different attractions of the Phoenix Mountain Imperial Palace in Lin'an at that time.
According to the research, the white-clad Gao Shi in the picture is the embodiment of Ningzong, who integrated himself into the natural landscape, wrote these 10 poems, and then ordered ma Yuan, the former painter at that time, to accompany the picture.
The 10 paintings are based on the poems of Former Sages such as Yang Wanli and Wang Anshi and Emperor Huizong of Song, and the 10 calligraphy works with poems in the album are all written by Song Ningzong.
Art historian Li Huishu said of the album: "This high-level masterpiece, according to its typical style, undoubtedly belongs to Ma Yuan. These verses are relatively unfamiliar to most people, and only those who are highly educated can know the source of the verses. "It can be seen that the artistic value of the work is high.
