Brandon Williams: It feels great to go on loan to Norwich city and have a connection with a Manchester United team-mate coach

Live bar December 11, Manchester United loan to Norwich player Brandon Williams today in an interview with The Manchester United official website, talking about his loan life.

What about a loan career?

I enjoyed the time, it was great, things were all good. I'm excited about how this season is and hopefully we can accomplish our goals.

How does being able to play in the first team help you improve?

My confidence has grown and I feel stronger, better and healthier after every game. The most important thing for me: I can prove that I can play a full season, hopefully without injuries and I won't feel too tired. I really enjoyed it.

Are there any aspects of the game that you are particularly concerned about?

There's no particular focus, but I've improved a lot in different ways, not only defensively but also offensively, and attack is very important for modern full-backs. But it's clear that on the defensive end, I'm exercising my sense of position and it's all good now.

Do you need to adapt to a situation where you have less ball possession than the opponent in the game?

Yes, I think although in most of the games, we have a lot of ball. We played against Tottenham Last Weekend and I feel like we controlled the game. I've never experienced a game that requires a lot of defensive wear, I enjoyed it there and things were fine.

Will playing far from home help your playing career?

Absolutely. Living far away, away from family, there was no one to rely on but me. I'm adapting now, I've settled down and I'm happy with where I am now.

Enjoyed being in Norwich?

Of course, I've learned a lot about clubs and the city and I love going out and finding something to eat. But I'm here to play, that's what I'm focused on.

Norwich only have one team, everyone supports this team, I guess everyone knows you, right?

Yes, sometimes it's crazy, sometimes it's okay.

Do you have a connection with a Team-Mate at Manchester United?

Of course, I have contact with them. I still have to come back during the international break when we are on vacation. We went out for a bite to eat and I talked a lot with them.

Do you still have communication with the coach?

Some coaches messaged me, called me to confirm if I was doing well, and asked me how things were going, and I was very grateful for that.

It's a pity you can't play this weekend, will it be strange for you?

No, it won't. I'm here, I signed with Norwich and I have the task to do, which is to stay in the Premier League and help the team stay in the Premier League. Three points are very important to us. So it's clear that we need those three points.

The team has improved under the new coach Dean Smith, do you want to stay?

Of course. If we continue to function as we did before, I believe we will be able to get out of this situation easily. If we win two and draw two, then we're going to get 18 points, no matter what the teams around us do, at this moment we're not very focused on the table, we're not paying attention. Positions in May will be more critical, and for now, we're just focused on ourselves and improving as a team.

Will you still be watching The Manchester United game?

That's for sure.
