I believe that each of us has had many dreams, nightmares, dreams, dreams that can be remembered, and dreams that cannot be remembered.

The academic community is still inconclusive about the cause and purpose of dreams, and the general view is that dreams are caused by some nerve impulses released by the brain when processing information and consolidating long-term memories (like dust raised during cleaning or the flow of information being processed), which are interpreted by the conscious brain as strange sight and hearing. The causes of dreaming are known to be psychological and physiological, but even in these two known aspects, humans are still unable to explain the mechanism of dream formation.

Since there is no conclusion, it leaves people with unlimited space for imagination. So some samsara theories, parallel universe theories, and so on are all related to dreams.

As a materialist, I still believe in the researchers' physiological and psychological explanations.

When we dream, no one knows that we are dreaming, and you in the dream will definitely feel that you exist in a real world. Only when you wake up from a dream do you think you've had a dream and think it's unreal. Whether the dream is real or whether it is a dream in the present moment cannot be confirmed.

I remember when I was young, I would often have such a dream, walking on a tall building or being chased by someone, falling from a high altitude, and waking up from the dream. But in the dream, it feels real. So, can we understand that after you fall in the dream, you die in the dream, and the soul drifts to the current world.

There is also a saying that precognition is that dreams are premonitions of the future. In my memory, I have also had such a dream. There are 2 dreams that are very similar to what happened in reality. Once, when I graduated, I had a dream about how to distribute after graduation, how to change from one unit to another, and there was also the content of marriage, which was not completely consistent with what happened later, but the general links and paths were unusually similar. Another time, I can't remember what year it was, but two days before the 30th, I had a dream, and in the dream, there was a big earthquake on the 30th, and many people died. As a result, on the 30th, the radio reported that there was a major earthquake in India, and many people died. There are not many such dreams, perhaps just a coincidence.
