Phoenix fire, as the name suggests, is the flame of the phoenix. Legend has it that this yokai is the embodiment of the firebird, because the phoenix was a divine beast in ancient times, so such a yokai is not only a yokai, but also a yokai similar to the gods. There are also legends that this monster was transformed by a wronged soul.

Phoenix Fire not only has the state of a bird, it can also transform into a human form. When transformed into a human form, it may be male or female, if it is male, it is generally a black-haired, pointed-eared black armor, white clothes and purple shirts, surrounded by purple flames around the messenger of the underworld. Many people will be afraid of such a male figure because they think of him as a symbol of death. (But this look does resemble China's black impermanence.) If she is a woman, she is usually purple-haired, pointed-eared red armor, with a purple phoenix tattoo on half of her face, and a red flame around her in red clothes.

In fact, this kind of monster has no actual behavior, they float around like fireballs, and they have no effect except aimless floating. But in the middle of the night, they can always be seen on some riverbank.

The story of the Phoenix Fire is a rather bleak one. There is a samurai's house on Mt. Fuji who has a very beautiful little concubine called a small lily. However, Sayuri was ostracized by the other concubines and servants, who were jealous of Sayuri's beauty and the samurai's love for him. So together they spread rumors that Sayuri and another man cheated on the samurai, so the samurai killed Sayuri in a fit of rage, cut off his head, and hung her body from a tree. At the same time, the angry samurai executed all the members of Sayuri's entire family. Then they all turned into this bird-like monster floating in the air.
It is said that after this, if you shout the name of The Little Lily by the river, there will be a lot of phoenix fire flying out and floating around.
As for this samurai, he was later defeated by others, and some people say that the samurai's fiasco was due to the revenge of the ghost of Sayuri.

There are two firsts to explain the phoenix fire, this fire is born from the phoenix fire, a kind of monster that guards the phoenix or guards related things, and its purpose is to wait, representing the ancient people's watchfulness for their precious things.
Or the phoenix fire that a ghost like Sayuri turns into is transformed into a monster by a wronged person because he is unwilling, and as a youkai, he only exists to do justice to himself.
Justice will be late, but it will not be absent, and perhaps some people have been treated unfairly, but in the legends that people have made up, they always want to seek just results for the good people, and they will also let the bad people get the punishment they deserve.
