Major General Wang Fuzhi: Encountered a US bomber, because two flies survived, and never hit flies again

During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the most troublesome opponent for the volunteer soldiers was the BOMBers of the US military. These huge things flew too high, and there was heavy armor, and ordinary anti-aircraft artillery fire could not help it. And as soon as its bloated stomach opened, it poured down a powerful bomb. In the 3 years of war, I don't know how many outstanding sons and daughters of China have become heroic spirits under the bomb, including Chairman Mao's eldest son Mao Anying. To this end, many fighters called the BOMBers of the US military "the god of death". But there was also one person who was lucky enough to survive the bombing and was eventually rescued by two inconspicuous flies. This person is the founding major general Wang Fuzhi.

Wang Fuzhi, the name is very chic, reminiscent of the Qing Dynasty's great talent Wang Fuzhi. A word difference, Wang Fuzhi naturally did not have the erudition of a great talent. In fact, he was a poor peasant born in Shaanxi. He lost his mother at an early age, and his father and grandfather were exhausted and tired, so he finally went to school for three months in a private school. Through this short stage of learning, Wang Fuzhi can read, but the knowledge cannot be discussed. However, Wang Fuzhi's body developed very early, and he was much taller than other children. In 1935, the Red Army in northern Shaanxi was active and won the hearts of the people, and Wang Fuzhi, who was just 12 years old, also had the idea of joining the army. Later, he came to the recruitment office, and when he inquired, he learned that he could only become a Red Army at least 16 years old. Wang Fuzhi didn't care about this set, and went to sign up as if he were stunned. When the staff asked him his age, he blurted out "I'm 17!" The staff looked at him, who was 1.6 meters tall, and did not suspect anything. In this way, Wang Fuzhi became a member of the Red Army and was assigned to the "Young Communist Battalion" of the Red Twenty-sixth Army. Soon after, because of his outstanding performance, he became a member of the Communist Youth League and joined the Communist Party of China the following year. Counting the age of joining the party, he is similar to the famous heroine Liu Hulan.

The reason why there is such a rapid development speed is that Wang Fuzhi must be superior. As a true "little red devil", his wit and bravery are beyond the reach of many adult warriors. At that time, the conditions of the Red Army were harsh, guns and ammunition were rare, and many soldiers in serious companies could not get weapons, not to mention child soldiers like Wang Fuzhi! The weapon in his hand was nothing more than a dart. Once, the Red Army exchanged fire with Zhang Xueliang's Northeast Army, and Wang Fuzhi's Shao Communist Battalion was responsible for capturing a high ground. The enemy looked at these "stinky" children and did not pay attention to them at all, but only shot a few times. Wang Fuzhi was not afraid at all, he let a few people shout from the front to attract the attention of the enemy, while the rest of the people copied from the side and quietly ran behind the enemy. After occupying the favorable terrain, Wang Fuzhi shouted and rushed up first. Before the enemy could react, he was hit by a dart in his throat. In this battle, he not only completed the task brilliantly, but also captured the first gun in his life.

Interestingly, the man who was held by Wang Fuzhi with a dart against his neck was named Madeleine. After he was captured, he simply joined the Red Army and became a comrade-in-arms with Wang Fuzhi.

During the Red Army period, an interesting thing happened to Wang Fuzhi: at that time, the army carried out basketball games in order to improve the physical fitness of soldiers. Wang Fuzhi is tall and can naturally be selected. When he plays, he has a unique skill that others can't learn: when it is his turn to attack, he often ends the task with a "dunk"; when it is the turn of others to attack, and when the ball is about to enter the basket, Wang Fuzhi can jump up and reach out and push the ball out from under the basket. At that time, the Red Army soldiers did not know that this was a foul, but they were shocked by Wang Fuzhi, and they would send two people to deal with him each time.

At the beginning of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, wang Fuzhi relied on the skills he had learned in the army, successively serving as the chief of the surveying and mapping unit of the regimental-level unit and the chief of the communications unit of the division-level unit, and then began to devote himself to front-line operations, turning to shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Anhui, and Jiangsu provinces, participating in many famous battles, and also participating in the establishment of many anti-Japanese base areas. During the Liberation War, Wang Fuzhi entered the northeast with his troops and participated in all the famous battles of the Northeast Field Army. In the battles to conquer Jinzhou and Tianjin, he made great contributions three times and was promoted to regimental commander.

At the end of October 1950, Wang Fuzhi was appointed as the commander of the 343rd Regiment of the 115th Division of the 39th Army of the Volunteer Army, and entered Korea with the troops. He participated in defensive operations from the first to the fifth, especially in the spring and summer of 1952, and commanded quite well. By August 1952, he was already the deputy commander of the 115th Division. But at this moment, he almost died under the enemy's bomb.

At that time, Wang Fuzhi and his troops were holding the position east of the Linjin River, and were studying the battle situation in a cave with several staff officers, followed by Liu Ming, a reporter from the Xinhua News Agency. Suddenly, there were several muffled noises from the mountain, and the mountain shook with it. Obviously, this is a bombshell dropped by the enemy "God of Death". Immediately the cave was dusty, and stones of all sizes kept falling down. A scorching wave of air pushed Wang Fuzhi to the end of the cave and saved his life. But others did not have this good luck, and reporter Liu Ming and several staff officers were unfortunately killed. When everything calmed down, Wang Fuzhi regained consciousness and began to struggle to get up from the rubble. At this time, the other two surviving comrades also woke up, and the three of them worked together, and it took three hours to finally climb out.

However, at this time, the entrance to the cave had been sealed so tightly that the three of them could not dig it out at all. There is no food and water in the cave, and it is a dead end after a long time. Wang Fuzhi thought calmly for a moment, consulted with the two survivors, and collected their own urine. Where there is water, there is life, and when necessary, these urine are their chance to survive.

As the minutes passed, the air in the cave grew thinner and thinner. The other two survivors slowly despaired and began to cry, saying that they were not afraid of death, but they did not want to die like this, how good it was to be able to fight a few enemies. But Wang Fuzhi has always been calm, and he encourages others not to give up. As long as you live, there is hope of salvation.

In fact, from the time Wang Fuzhi was buried, the Volunteer Army Headquarters received the news. Commander Peng Dehuai issued an order: "We must do everything possible to rescue Wang Fuzhi and them; in case they are sacrificed, they must also dig up their bodies and transport them back to China." So the rescue sappers set off quickly, and by this time they were already clearing the rescue site. In order to avoid secondary injuries in the rescue, the commander in charge of excavation repeatedly reminded him to pay attention to observing the life characteristics inside the hole.

After about twenty hours, Wang Fuzhi finally heard the continuous sound of excavation. They immediately shouted inside the cave and knocked on the stone wall with lunch boxes and other items. But the mountain was so thick that the sound could not be heard at all. At the same time, the excavation work outside is not going well, many huge soil and stones are difficult to carry, if more people are sent, the target is too large, it is easy to become a living target of the enemy air force. It really can't work, you can only move a little bigger, but it is easy to cause the stability of the structure inside the cave, and if the people inside are alive, there may be danger. At the moment of the dilemma, a sharp-eyed sapper company commander suddenly saw two flies flying out of the gap in the cave, and immediately realized that there must be air in the cave, and there might be living people! He quickly told the others about the discovery, and everyone adopted a relatively safe way of operation, which took a full 38 hours to finally rescue Wang Fuzhi and others.

Fortunately, although he was buried for such a long time, Wang Fuzhi's injuries were not serious, just skin trauma. After regaining some strength, he asked the sapper how he knew he was alive. The sapper told him about the discovery of flies by a company commander, and he hurried to look for the sapper company commander, but unfortunately did not find it. Afterwards, whenever he talked about this distress, Wang Fuzhi would say: "If it weren't for the two flies flying out of the hole, my little life would definitely have ended long ago." Unfortunately, I did not remember the name of the engineer company commander, and I have not found him. Since that day, Wang Fuzhi has called the fly a "savior" and has never been harmed in his life.

After the end of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Wang Fuzhi returned to China as the commander of the 115th Division, and then entered the Nanjing Military Academy to study. In 1955, the first time in New China, Wang Fuzhi was awarded the rank of colonel. Since then, he has continued to work in the army, successively serving as chief of staff of the Thirty-ninth Army, first deputy commander, and director of the Operations Department of the General Staff, and has been praised by Senior Leaders of the State such as Ye Jianying and Deng Xiaoping. He was promoted to major general in 1964 and worked in Shanxi and Xinjiang until his retirement in 1998.

There is an old saying: If you are favored, you should repay it with a fountain. Wang Fuzhi did not fight flies all his life, which seemed to be a fuss, but in fact, it embodied the feelings of a revolutionary soldier who knew the gratitude of tu bao. It is precisely this kind of sentiment that has achieved the love of fish and water between the military and the people. As the poet said, every time Chinese soldiers go to war, they will have infinite love for the people in their hearts. This is also the reason why Chinese soldiers have won every battle!
