The self-cultivation of Hong Yingming's "Cai Gen Tan": clean up the dregs, cut off the buds, and only then can we see the original body

author:Black tea slow life

"Cai Gen Tan" is a popular reading of Hong Yingming, a taoist in the early Ming Dynasty, and together with Chen Jiru's "The Secret of the Small Window" and Wang Yongbin's "Night Talk of the Hearth", it is called "the three strange books of the world".

Why is this book called Cai Gen Tan?

Hong Yingming's life was very hard at that time, and it was a pity to see that a large number of vegetable roots were thrown away, so he wanted to take the roots away, but he did not want to owe people anything, and paid a little money to buy the vegetable roots.

Over time, local people called Hong Yingming a "silly vegetable root".

One day, a friend "Yu Kongjian" visited Hong Yingming at home; Hong Yingming treated each other with vegetable root pickles and rice porridge, and after Tasting in Kongjian, he patted the table and applauded.

Hong Yingming's pickles marinated with vegetable roots have a black and bright color, salty and crispy, and the bitterness of no vegetable roots, compared with ordinary pickles, they have a different taste.

His book ends with the root of the vegetable, and here's a brief look at some of the ideas in the book:

The self-cultivation of Hong Yingming's "Cai Gen Tan": clean up the dregs, cut off the buds, and only then can we see the original body

1. For the sake of goodness, one who desires to be victorious over oneself, who desires to be well-known for the sake of grace, who wants to be astonished by the world (hài) customs, who wants to plant knots and wants to mark the strange; these are all gē spears in good thoughts, thorns on the road, the easiest to entrain, the most difficult to remove; it must be a polyester (dí) slag (zhā) and a sprout, and only then can the true body be seen

To exalt oneself over others for the sake of goodness: to do good deeds but to use them to elevate oneself over others. To do a good deed is to do a good deed, not to ask for returns; once you seek returns, doing good deeds is actually to ask for praise, for someone to say that you are a good person, or even to get benefits, to be promoted and rich; there is expectation, and this expectation may not be realized, the heart is not pure, there will be some obstacles, there will be disappointment, there will be disappointment, there will be disappointment will feel annoyed, feel angry, feel that doing a good deed is not worth it.

Grace wants to be good: Grace wants to seek a statement and make friendships. Giving grace to others, in fact, wants to be friends with him, wants the other party to be good to you, mutual benefit, but this is easy to become wishful thinking; you yourself are bound to have people who do not want to take care of them in any way, then the other people you expect are the same, and you must allow the existence of its phenomenon; no matter what you do, you just don't want to be close to you, then forget it, don't waste your time and energy.

Cultivating karma and wanting to shock the world: making meritorious achievements, but wanting to shock the world. You may make achievements to make people around you envious, to make ex-boyfriends, ex-girlfriends regret. With this as the driving force for struggle, the pressure is too heavy; self-righteous eyebrows are realized, but people don't bird you at all, and they don't feel regret, you have money, and your success is your business; moreover, what if it can't be achieved? Because success does not rely on hard work, relying on sleeping a few hours less than others a day, you can achieve, this is not proportional.

Planting festivals and wanting to mark different opinions: establishing discipline, but wanting to be different from this.

These are all the spears in good thoughts, the thorns on the road of reason, the easiest to entrain, the most difficult to remove: these thoughts are all hidden spears in good thoughts, the thorns displayed on the road of reason, the easiest to mix in people's hearts, the most difficult to remove clean things. Children are very pure, quarrels are quarrels, and immediately after quarrels, they are happy to play with each other. Adults are complicated, their thoughts are complicated, they are hurt first, everything is assured inside, and they can't get by.

It is necessary to clean up the dregs and cut off the sprouts before we can see the true body: we must clear all selfish distractions and completely cut off the buds, so that the true essence can be revealed. So the only thing you can change is your own mood, and nothing else can be changed; the psychologist Jung once said: You don't even have the idea of changing others.

Don't think about changing others and then you're comfortable with yourself, it's simply not possible.

Do everything to make yourself happy and quiet, which is the most authentic and effective. At the end of life, the only thing you can control is your own thoughts, so it is better to practice early and try to understand some things.

The self-cultivation of Hong Yingming's "Cai Gen Tan": clean up the dregs, cut off the buds, and only then can we see the original body

2. To be able to lighten the rich and the noble, not to lighten the heart of the rich; to be able to emphasize the name, and to repeat the thought of the name; it is the dust atmosphere of the situation that has not been swept away, and the mustard of the state of mind (dì) has not been forgotten; here the impurity is removed, and the fear of stones is gone and the grass is revived

Can be light on the rich, can not light on the heart of the rich: can despise the rich, but can not let go of the envy of the heart of the rich. Because once you have the heart of envy, you will start to think, so when you are in trouble, you must not think all day about how good it is to have money, that is to screw yourself; at this time, you must think that money is something outside the body, can solve the problem of food and clothing, and contentment is enough; having money in the future is a matter of later, and then adjust your concept when you have money; when you have no money, you don't even want to be envious.

Can re-emphasize the name, and repeat a heavy nominal thought: can value the name, for example, the goal of life is to be a good person, which is originally a good thing; but once it is too much, too much emphasis on the name, it becomes selling fame and fishing for reputation, doing things for fame.

It is the dust of the situation that has not been swept away, and the mustard of the state of mind has not been forgotten: this is the earthly atmosphere of treating specific affairs that has not been swept away, and the private feelings and distractions in the depths of the heart have not been forgotten. Therefore, the mouth says that it is light and rich, in fact, there is still in the heart; it does not make itself really feel pure; the circle of friends sends a message, forwards a message that people do good things, publicizes it, and implies that they do not pursue fame and fortune; but in fact, they do not let go, it is virtual.

Here it is impure to be removed, and the fear of stones will be removed and the grass will come back to life: if these thoughts cannot be removed cleanly, I am afraid that they are like the stones originally pressed on the grass, and once they are removed, the weeds will grow again.

To be truly happy, in fact, as long as you know it, it is enough, don't think about it. Even the circle of friends do not send messages, regard money as dung, and sometimes the more envious they are.

3. Disturb the field of nì zhi, and the place of the heart of the gǎo; therefore, the scholar Dangqi (qī) heart yuanmo, to Ning Wu true body; also when the zhi tian (tián) pleasure, in order to nourish my round machine

Disturbing the field of drowning: The lively scene of chaos and harassment is certainly indulgent.

And the place where the dry silence is also the heart: stifling ambition, boring and lonely calmly, will make people feel indifferent and indifferent. "The land of dry silence" is not necessarily bad, as long as it is not "hearted", the heart always holds the idea of light, just like Tao Yuanming's pastoral retreat life, picking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence, leisurely seeing the South Mountain, it is really a human enjoyment.

Therefore, the scholar should inhabit the mind and meditate, and take the true body of Ning Wu: Therefore, the scholar should let the mind inhabit in silence and inaction, so that the true self can be at peace.

Lao Tzu has a saying: In order to learn more and more, for the Tao to lose day by day, in order to really find this "Tao", we should remove the external objects one by one, in fact, in order to learn, it does not have to be more and more, the content of learning must be selected, in order to be calm; on the one hand, to learn to be quiet and inactive, on the other hand, to learn the warriors, to learn how to get more things through conspiracies and conspiracies, to learn how to make others obedient, for my use, the thinking must be contradictory; in fact, no matter what aspect of the book is read, it is reasonable, so the learning content must also be "damaged", Focus on a few classics.

It is also appropriate to be happy and enjoyable, in order to nourish my round machine: I should also make my life comfortable and happy, so as to get rid of any external objects.

So what is a foreign object? Money is a foreign object, status is an external object, and even relying on others is a foreign object; the only thing that can be relied on is yourself, you have difficulties, many people have left; don't feel cold, this is originally human nature, do not want to be implicated, and you draw a line early, the movie is not acted out, when you encounter things to borrow money, all are far away from you, the reality is like this, so even interpersonal relationships are unstable, only rely on yourself.
