Yichang, Hubei, was still a land of Jingman in ancient times, called Yiling. Ouyang Xiu was born in the fourth year of The Reign of Emperor Zhenzong of Song (1007 AD), the son of Ouyang Guan, who was a minor official in Chengdu, Sichuan. In childhood, his father died, and his mother Zheng Shi, with the three brothers and sisters of Ouyang Xiu, went to Suizhou, Hubei Province, to rely on relatives and friends, and tasted the bitterness and cold of the world.

Ouyang Xiu was young and promising, stayed in Beijing for seven consecutive years as an official, and his career was smooth.
In the third year of Jingyou (1036 AD), Ouyang Xiu Fanggang, who was recently established, was demoted to Yiling as a county commander for supporting Fan Zhongyan's reforms.
Alpine rocks
At that time, Yiling Prefecture in the Xiling Gorge of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River was still a barbaric place that "worshiped ghosts and gods, still had a witch's wind, and was not civilized".

Alpine flowing water meets Zhiyin
Ouyang Xiu's distant ancestors were once the Luling clan, "the Cause of Luling began yiling, the vision originally increased from experience", the Qing Dynasty poet Yuan Ming's < Suiyuan poetry >, but also affirmed that Ouyang Xiu was degraded, and the rise of his political achievements and poetry began with Yichang Yiling, which is indeed a good story in the Chinese literary circle.
