Professor Chen Ping on the Pseudohistory of Greece

[This article is the finale of the speech of Professor Chen Ping of Chinese descent in the United States (Visiting Professor of Tsinghua University and Fudan University) at the 13th lecture series of "CITIC Lecture Hall China Road Lecture Series". 】

[Question]: Thank you teacher for bringing us such a profound speech. The teacher made a lot of wonderful points today, the evidence of the point of view is very important, I want to know how the teacher observed the evidence? What is the content of the observation? You just mentioned that the rationalism of the Enlightenment was unsustainable, can you share how you observed it?

[Chen Ping]: My observation is very simple, that is, to observe a few typical cases.

The first case mentioned earlier is an observation in Greece. I found that the Greek national tradition made the common people have no concept of the state at all, only personal and family interests. In times of national crisis, China's national nature is the opposite of the Western national nature. When I was young, during the Cultural Revolution, I admired Lu Xun very much, and Lu Xun and Bai Yang scolded China's national backwardness, what ugly Chinese, and said very badly. After going abroad, I found that the characteristics of China's national nature have advantages and disadvantages, not necessarily natural backwardness. My observation Chinese characteristics, when there is a crisis, they will hug the group, and when they are rich, they will separate their families, they will quarrel, and Chinese can share suffering, but it is difficult to share happiness. Westerners, on the contrary, see that others are rich, they hug their thighs and hug their thighs as soon as they say they have lost. Whether it's Polan or the European Union, it's all like that. A crisis as big as Greece has not only sparked a split in Greece, but also provoked confrontation between Northern and Southern Europe. Look at the financial crisis in South Korea, the people and the country hugged together, donated their own gold and silver jewelry to help the country pay off debts, after the financial crisis, the Korean industry is still a higher level than Japan. The EU economy was already thriving, with the euro once stronger than the dollar. Once there is a small Greek crisis, the EU is crumbling. This is the first observation.

In my second observation, I went to Eastern Europe several times to compare the effects of transition economies and found that the per capita GD P data compiled by the World Bank was fraudulent. After shock therapy, Eastern Europe entered high-income countries, and they deliberately put the lower limit of high-income countries in Poland and Russia, rather than Turkey, which had long been NATO and the Rich Countries Club (OECD). I see the opposite conclusion: Eastern Europe is not only much worse than China, but also much worse than the pre-transition socialist economy. I asked Polish economists, especially young people, how do you compare the pre-transition and post-transition economies, good or bad? The answer I got was half and half. People over the age of 40 think that socialism was good in the past, but they can't go back now. Young people under the age of 40 are divided into half and half, half think the past is good, and half think the present is good. If you are highly educated and can work in a Western or multinational company, the living conditions will be considered more opportunity than in the past, but half of the young people will not be able to get on this ship, and unemployment is worse than before. Adding up to 3/4 of the people said bad, 1/4 people said good, the West made up per capita GDP data can I believe? It is also said that China's per capita GDP is below Turkey, Malaysia, Iran, and Mexico.

The third case is the cause and effect of the Greek temple I talked about today, why was the marble building built on the seismic belt? I am a quantitative and qualitative observation, plus the study of historical typical cases, and the three complement each other. You know that Renaissance idealism is anti-natural and unsustainable. Western-model science and technology did develop a great deal of resources, but it was also enough to destroy the planet thousands of times. Many modern diseases of our time are the result of the Western model of using modern technology to benefit a few and maintain imperial hegemony. China's rise cannot just imitate or succeed the hegemony of the West, or just imitate the high income and high consumption of the West, but to create a new Chinese road, a Chinese solution, to give the world a better hope. Thank you.

[Moderator]: Regarding the history of Greek falsification, please give us an example.

[Chen Ping]: An important document is the English book published in 2007 by Academician Offilmon Fumenko of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Formenko , Anatoly , History : Fiction or Science ? Delamere Resources LLC ;(2007). The book is published in six volumes, a collection of papers by more than a dozen Russian academicians of science. They use big data to feed in the world's historical documents and do mathematical statistical correlation analysis. The title of the book is History, Fiction or Science. They came to the conclusion that the history of the West is fabricated, a lot of contradictions, the history of the Roman Empire propagated by the West, many of which are actually the history of the Byzantine Empire, many of the historical legends of Greco-Roman history have no reliable historical documents, and even when Christ was born and when the Bible was written. You can check Wikipedia's world record for the destruction of documents in history.

China does not hesitate to talk about Qin Shi Huang's burning of books and pit Confucianism, as if only China is a cultural dictatorship. In fact, China is a historical action of large-scale destruction of literature, and it is a relatively small and small country in the world's major civilizations. Qin Shi Huang burned books to pit Confucianism, the main Chinese classical literature still exists, and most of the Western Greco-Roman literature did not exist after Christianity became the state religion. For monotheism destroys the heretical literature. Every religious war in the Middle East and the West burned down the pagan libraries that preceded them, including the library of the historically great Persian Empire, burning the waters of the river black. Then the library of Alexandria in Egypt also burned.

There were many versions of the early Christian Bible, and because archaeology has unearthed many versions, where was the New Testament of Christianity written? Paul and John, both Turks, wrote in the West Bank of Turkey, not in Palestine, because nomads run everywhere.

He Xin's talk about "Greek Pseudoskow" has a reason that is justified. Other archaeological details I don't know. But we do science with a lot of emphasis on written material. We all know that the text is very concise, right? Why is the text so concise? Because the ancient script was written on bamboo or silk drapery. Bamboo is very heavy, and silk is very expensive, so the words are like gold. When paper can be mass-produced, Song and Yuan novels can describe literary details. He Xin said that the ancient Greek literature was written on parchment or Egyptian papyrus. I went to Egypt and saw that papyrus was a plant, pressed out, not synthetic from a variety of cheap materials like Chinese paper.

There is very little papyrus, and today's papyrus paintings are much more expensive than paper. Plato and Aristotle could not have written millions of words in Greek times, so how much papyrus or sheepskin would have to be used? Where can I save? It could only have been made up by Italian bankers during the Renaissance. History is only a fragmentary view of the Greek philosophers, and it is impossible to have a systematic work.

I think He Xin's point of view is very reasonable. Second, all scholars now accept the Renaissance argument that the so-called Greek and Roman texts were translated from Arabic. The problem is that until now, no Arabic texts have been seen, and the self-proclaimed translators of the Renaissance have not left any Arabic originals, apparently documents brewed by the Medici family.

PDS, a major U.S. public television station, has published an Empire series of documentaries, and DVD versions are available online. I have repeatedly suggested publishers to buy copyright, translate and publish, PDS's Empire series, with a special episode of "The Medici Family", to tell you what the story of the Medici family and the Renaissance is?

The Renaissance was a success story of the trading of power for money and the legalization of corruption, which is in line with today's American money politics. There are several banking families in Florence, the big bankers compete for supremacy, the Medici family is not a big family, how does he expand market share? The elder Medici had a good idea to speculate on a bishop to help him succeed in his candidacy for the pope.

When the Pope was elected to return the Medici, he designated the Medici family bank to become the financial agent of the Pope's income and expenditure, and the Sub-Medici Bank became famous, and then the princes and nobles of all countries came to save money and borrow money, and the Medici Bank expanded to all of Europe and became the largest monopoly bank. Medici drew the ire of the other families, assassinating their successors and then driving them out of Florence.

The bought-through Pope died and lost his reliance. The people of the Medici family found that it was not enough to bribe a pope, but their own people had to become popes. So the Medici relied on his own property to bribe the election, creating two popes elected, one pope was still an illegitimate child, and having money could become legal if it was illegal. This bastard was a playboy. You must know that the paintings of early Christianity are very simple, because primitive Christianity is a socialist religion, to take care of the poor, to implement bankruptcy laws, to be frugal and abstinent. The playboy came to power simply bringing the rotten way of life to the church, legitimizing the lifestyle of indulgence, and the pope sponsored nude sculptures, beautiful paintings, and nude performances.

It cost a lot of money to make the art of the Renaissance, and he spent all the wealth accumulated by the Church of Rome over the years, so he had to issue debts as the United States does now. Popes issued indulgences, causing Martin Luther to revolt, protestant revolutions, religious divisions, and wars that killed a significant portion of Europe's population far more than a major war. Some people criticize China's difficult times, but they do not understand the proportion of population. The cost of China's modernization is a few percent, and the price of Western Eastern Europe is tens of percent. The independence of the United States eliminated the majority of the Indian population, which currently has less than 1% of the population of the United States. Is the Chinese revolution costly, or is the Western corruption costly? Now the source of the division of Western society is that the Medici family bribes the pope with money, not the unity of government and business, but the unity of religion and business, that is, the integration of wealth into power, creating the Renaissance, creating both a glorious Renaissance era and the corrupt politics of capitalism.

The rise and fall of the Medici family is a very good historical story. There is no constitution in the West, no three-power parliamentary system can restrain corruption, and American democracy is the product of corruption legalization. Originally, the campaign was privately sent in red envelopes, and now it has become an open political donation, which is called "transparent", what can you do with this naked transparent money politics? This is a legal procedure for maintaining the unequal rule of the rich, which is the essence of the Western system that I have observed for many years, and this essence has been the same from Greece to Florence to the present United States. Superior to the Chinese system? Let time and history test it.
