The list of the 9th "Outstanding Scientific Research Output Award (Humanities and Social Sciences)" of the Ministry of Education has finally been announced.
Professor Chen Pingyuan of Peking University, former editor-in-chief of Literature, History and Philosophy, and professor of Shandong University, Du Zexun, won the first prize.
Professor Kang Zhen from Beijing Normal University, and Professor Ge Jianxiong and Professor Zhang Weiwei from Fudan University also received the award.
What is the University Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award?
According to the 2009 notice of the Ministry of Education on the issuance of the "Award Measures for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements in Colleges and Universities (Humanities and Social Sciences)": the award is currently the most credible and influential important award in the field of humanities and social sciences in China, representing the top level of humanities and social science research in Chinese universities, aiming to commend and reward the outstanding achievements of philosophy and social science workers in colleges and universities, and to display the major theoretical and practical achievements of the social science community in colleges and universities in serving the development of the party and the country. Promote colleges and universities to accelerate the construction of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics.
The Outstanding Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences was established in 1995 and is selected every three or four years, and has been successfully selected for nine times so far.
