In June 2021, Zhejiang Province proposed to build the future community into a basic unit of common prosperity modernization. Shangbao Community (Shangbao-Songmuchang Area) in Beishan Street, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, was included in the list of future communities created by the combination of demolition and reform in Zhejiang Province.
According to the planning and design, the Future Community of Shangbao will follow the concept of scenic community construction, with the goal of "scenic community, nostalgia-style experience", and will implement the roof improvement, façade improvement, comprehensive pipe network improvement, elevator installation, new parking garage, streetscape improvement and other projects in the whole area, and add greening and leisure space, design and continue the style of Jiangnan water town, and create a residential courtyard with historical and cultural characteristics. At present, the model house of bao future community on Beishan Street has been completed, and the demolition work and elevator installation in the Shangbao and Pine Wood Farm areas are steadily advancing.
