After Pound was captured, Guan Yu used Pound's cousin Pang Rou to serve in Liu Bei's camp as a temptation, hoping that Pound Would also surrender to Join Liu Bei's camp, but As a result, Pound scolded Guan Yu and preferred to die, and as a result, Guan Yu was killed, and Cao Cao sniffled and treated his son kindly.

After Cao Pi ascended the throne, the four Brothers of the Feng Pang Hui were made the Marquis of Guannei, and pang Huiguan was promoted to lieutenant general. According to the Book of Shu, in 263 AD, Pang Hui attacked Shu Han with Zhong Hui and Deng Ai, and after Liu Chan surrendered, Pang Hui killed Guan Yu's family.

First, this matter was first recorded in the Book of Shu, and its credibility is doubtful.

Wang Yin, the author of the Book of Shu, is a historian of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, several years after the end of the Three Kingdoms, and the closest classic to the node of the event is Chen Shou's "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", which does not have any description of Pang's destruction of Guan Yu's family, if it really happened, with Guan Yu's influence in the Three Kingdoms, the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" should not be not mentioned in this matter, in addition, the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" records Guan Yu's grandson Guan Yi, and does not mention the killing of Guan Yi. When Pei Songzhi made an annotation for the Book of Shu, there was no annotation on this incident, and combined with Pei Songzhi's rigorous attitude when he made the annotation, it can be inferred that there were no other books at that time to prove that pang would destroy Guan Yu's family door, so he did not make an annotation, the real situation, let posterity speculate.

Second, it is inconsistent with the policy of breaking the Shu.

After Wei broke Shu, in order not to cause unpredictable riots in the situation and prevent people from panicking, Deng Ai, in the name of Emperor Wei, pardoned the Shu Han monarchs, and the history books record that Pang would be more courageous and act in the style of his father, Pound was known for his loyalty, Pang would be Deng Ai's subordinate, and with Emperor Wei's will, he should obey orders. Coupled with Deng Ai's strict rule, if Pang would violate discipline, there should be a record of punishment.

Third, after Pound's death, Guan Yu Renyi did not lose his body, and it was also suspicious to say that Pang would carry out crazy revenge.

Guan Yu and Pound De did not have a vendetta, their killing was a state affair, after Pound's death, there are two theories about his corpse, one is to return the corpse to Yecheng, the other is to bury in Shudi, no matter which one theory, it shows that Guan Yu is benevolent and did not discard Pound's body and destroy the body.
