Southeast Network, November 19 (Fujian Daily reporter Yang Lichao, Wang Minxia) reporters learned yesterday that the newly edited Pear Garden drama "Hero Tiger Courage", based on the classic film of the same name and directed by Zeng Jingping, winner of "Second Degree Plum", will be auditioned at the Liyuan Classical Theater in Quanzhou on the 24th and 25th of this month.
"Hero Tiger's Guts" is a new attempt by the Fujian Liyuan Opera Inheritance Center in terms of creative themes. The play is written by Zhang Jingjing, composed by Wang Yang, directed by Liyuan opera performance artists Zeng Jingping and Zeng Long, and starring Zhang Chunji, Zeng Jingping, Lin Cangxiao and so on. In the process of creating rehearsals in the past year, the four generations of pear garden opera inheritors have worked together, adhering to the concept of "returning to the roots and opening up a new", changing their manuscripts several times and rehearsing three times, and striving to present the most perfect state. The play specially invited Nanguan artist Wang Xinxin to compose and sing the overture and finale "Broken Line", and the audiovisual effect was shocking and magnificent, becoming another highlight of the play.
The main creative team said that this drama strives to fully integrate the spiritual core of the red theme with the art form of Pear Garden Opera, continuously stimulate the innovative ability of Pear Garden Opera in terms of red themes and realistic themes on the basis of inheriting the tradition, and come up with works with the significance and connotation of the times.
The story of "Heroes and Tigers" can be described as well-known -- At the beginning of liberation, Li Hanguang, commander of the Kuomintang's anti-communist national salvation special mobilization army, and his wife Li Yuegui led a group of stubborn bandits to occupy the mountains as kings, committed wrongdoing, and seriously threatened the newborn people's power in the local area. On the basis of retaining the essence of the film story, Liyuan Drama "Hero Tiger Guts" integrates a variety of elements such as espionage, suspense, thrilling, and action in the stage space, externalizes the psychological dynamics of different characters with the techniques of opera, cleverly sets suspense, creates a thrilling atmosphere, and makes the whole play more dramatic tension and ornamental.
