The Kinosha County Court in the United States concluded the Rittenhouse case

On November 15, local time, the Circuit Court of Kenosha County, Wisconsin, united States, closed the trial of the Rittenhouse murder case. At the preliminary hearing, Judge Bruce Schroeder dismissed misdemeanor charges against Rittenhouse under the age of 18 for possessing dangerous weapons.

On August 25, 2020, during a riot in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, 17-year-old Rittenhouse shot four people at gunpoint, killing two people and injuring one.

Under U.S. law, charges against people under the age of 18 for possessing dangerous weapons are punishable by up to 9 months in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Rittenhouse is still on charges for five other felonies and faces a mandatory life sentence if convicted. For now, Rittenhouse has pleaded not guilty to all charges. (CCTV reporter Liu Xu)
