According to the Japanese Ministry of Defense's Unified Staff Supervision Department reported on November 15 that on the 13th local time, two PLA warships crossed the Tsushima Strait to the north, and the Japanese side dispatched ships and aircraft to respond.

The circular said that at about 2 p.m. on the 13th, the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force found two Chinese warships sailing eastward, one type 052D guided missile destroyer and one type 054A guided missile frigate in the waters about 250 kilometers southwest of the Tsushima Strait. It was confirmed that the two Chinese warships then crossed the Tsushima Strait and continued to sail northeast towards the Sea of Japan.

The circular also pointed out that the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force dispatched P-1 maritime patrol aircraft and missile boats to carry out vigilance surveillance and intelligence gathering work on Chinese warships.

In addition, the Japanese side also released the pictures of the two PLA warships sailing, of which the Type 052D destroyer has the hull number of the Type 122, and the hull number of the Type 054A frigate is 579.

It is worth mentioning that on the earlier November 12, a chinese naval vessel formation consisting of a Type 052D guided-missile destroyer, a Type 054A frigate and a Type 903 supply ship crossed the Miyako Strait into the East China Sea. The Japanese side also dispatched naval aircraft to carry out vigilance surveillance and intelligence collection on the Chinese warship formation.
