For a time, the rice field painting became a punch point for Internet celebrities. But what makes many tourists and readers wonder is how this rice field painting was "painted"?

On November 12, the reporter came to Anqiaotou Village, Sunduan Street, Yuecheng District, and listened to the creators tell the birth process of this rice field painting of "Thorn under the Leap Earth Moon" on the 15-meter-high watchtower.

"Most of the attractions about Lu Xun in China reflect his feelings of home and country, and Anqiaotou Village carries Lu Xun's happiest childhood, in his grandmother's house, he can catch crickets, watch social dramas, pick green beans, pick shells, can be carefree, full of childlike fun." Yang Santao, project leader of the investment operation team of Shanghai Luding Group, told reporters that their company is responsible for the project planning, investment promotion and operation of Anqiaotou Village, and the thinking about this land began as early as 2018.

Anqiaotou Village preserves Qing Dynasty buildings, three rooms and two entrances to Lu Xun's grandmother's former residence "Chaobei Taimen", but there are not many other available resources, there is no special natural scenery, only a large area of farmland. "Farmland can't build houses, it can only grow things, or use the form of rice field paintings to reproduce Lu Xun's childhood." After overturning one plan after another, the idea of rice paddy painting was left behind and put on the agenda.

At the beginning of this year, Anqiaotou Village obtained the right to use more than 80 mu of farmland from more than 60 villagers by means of land circulation. "We will compensate them for how much money they can get when they contract to big grain growers." Xuan Mingde, general secretary of the party branch of Anqiaotou Village, told reporters, "The villagers know that we are used to do rural revitalization and cultural tourism, and they are very supportive." ”

Soon, Yang Santao's operation team invited a professional rice field painting company from Shenzhen to produce a number of graphic design drawings related to Lu Xun's childhood. After the pattern is set, it is time to start the selection and breeding of colored rice and artificial planting. Yang Santao revealed that seedling raising and seedling planting are the two most arduous links. "We need yellow, white, red, black, purple and green rice, and we source the most common green rice seeds locally, while other rare colored rice seeds are purchased from seed companies." After the seeds were bought, Kim Deok-feng was in charge of seedlings, and he said that normally they would have seedlings at the end of June, but they only started in early August, so they had to race against time and could not make mistakes. "I have to stare at these seedlings every day, afraid of any problems, but fortunately it is relatively smooth, and I can plant seedlings in late August."

Jin Defeng introduced that first of all, to do a good job of screen positioning, the staff of the rice field painting company used the positioning system to find the positioning point, and then directed the villagers to insert 60 cm high moso bamboo pieces in the designated position. Jin Defeng clearly remembers that they inserted more than 8,000 positioning points to outline the prototype of the "leap soil hedgehog".

Do a good job of positioning, it is not difficult to plant seedlings. Jin Defeng made an image analogy: "We are like children drawing, some people draw outlines, some people fill in colors, they use color pens, we use colored rice." Pest control, weed control, dry irrigation, waterlogging, wind and rain should pay special attention... Under the meticulous care of the villagers, the rice gradually matures, the rice field is more colorful, and the pattern is clearer. Overlooked from the top floor of the watchtower on the east side of the rice paddy, the rice paddy paintings are unobstructed and lifelike.

Yang Santao told reporters that the watchtower was just built half a month ago, and with it, tourists can watch rice field paintings without a drone. He also revealed that the effect of looking at the rice field painting on the watchtower is better than the drone shooting directly above the rice field, because the mystery of the rice field painting lies in the "far big, near small", in order to "bridge" the visual "far small near big".
