Common prosperity is the prosperity of the entire people, and it is the prosperity of the people's material and spiritual lives. The tenth meeting of the Central Financial and Economic Commission stressed the need to create more inclusive and fair conditions for the people to improve their education level and enhance their development ability, smooth the upward mobility channel, create opportunities for more people to get rich, and form a development environment in which everyone participates.
On the issue of fairness and inclusiveness of educational resources, 21st Century Business Herald reporters recently interviewed Yao Yang, president of the National Development Research Institute of Peking University, during the Fourth China International Import Expo.
Yao Yang believes that there is fierce anxiety competition in the field of education at present, and this selection system from small to large is not conducive to the fairness of educational resources, nor is it conducive to the equal improvement of students' spiritual literacy.
Therefore, he suggested that to implement a ten-year consistent compulsory education system, the central government and provincial governments should balance the gap in educational resources between different cities by "pumping fat and supplementing thin", and invest corresponding educational resources according to the number of students.
For vocational education, he stressed that it should not be too early, and children should be allowed to undergo vocational education after receiving high school education. Among them, the government should do a good job of guidance, and enterprises and colleges and universities can jointly run schools to improve the quality of students' education.
