Born in Suzhou, he is a descendant of the Prime Minister
In 1935, in the Tianxiang Pavilion in Shanghai, there was a famous prostitute with a high name and a red and purple color, called Pan Fei. She has a plump body, a fair face, dark eyes, an open and elegant forehead, and a smile on her cheeks, giving birth to many charms.
Princess Pan is only a stage name, her original name is Pan Baiqin, born in 1915 in Suzhou into a famous family, a descendant of Pan Shien, the prime minister. When she was young, Shen Guixiang, the mother of everyone's girlfriend, hired a famous teacher to teach her music and painting, so she played the pipa well and had a solid foundation in painting.

Unfortunately, her father was a clumsy child, and when she was 13 years old, her mother died of illness and the family fell into the middle of the road. The stepmother who crossed the door was narrow-minded and sold her to a Shanghai brothel at the age of 15. A generation of beautiful people, since then fell into the red dust, sighing.
Fell in love with the Prince of the Republic of China at first sight and composed a legend
In that chaotic era, Pan Fei, who was graceful and had a brilliant mind, split the red dust with a pair of plain hands. This female flower swaying on the red and green field of Shanghai Beach was the flower leader of many warlords and gangsters at that time.
That year, Zhang Boju, one of the four sons of the Republic of China, came to Shanghai as usual to check the accounts, and since he came to Shanghai, he naturally wanted to go to the flower world to "relax and relax", so he met Pan Su in fireworks Willow Lane, was amazed, and wrote a mosaic for the dream person on the spot:
Pan bu palm light, ten steps incense dust raw luo socks;

At that time, Zhang Boju already had three wives and concubines, and it was said that a man with a group of wives and concubines, a woman who sang and laughed, were not first-class candidates for love, but these two composed a love legend! In 1935, the two were married in Suzhou. After that, Zhang Boju successively dismissed his three wives and concubines, only with Pan Suqinser and Ming.

From famous prostitutes to famous painters, it has been amazing for half a century
Zhang Boju "ventured to break through the frontier" from one of the four princes of the late Ming Dynasty, so it was natural to cultivate Pan Su as Dong Xiaowan. He discovered his wife's talent for painting, so he introduced her to worship under Zhu Defu, and later collaborated with the painters Tao Xinru, Qi Jingxi and others to paint.

She immersed herself in observing the authentic works of precious calligraphy and painting, carefully studied the Heavy Color Painting Method of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and traveled to famous mountains and rivers to carry out field sketching. Her "Lijiang Chunqing" was praised by Premier Zhou Enlai: "There is a new atmosphere", and the landscape painting "Linwu Lixue Mountain Map" was presented to the British Prime Minister, who copied Sui Zhan Ziqian's "You Chun Tu" and gave it to the Japanese Emperor when the Chinese cultural delegation visited Tokyo.

In terms of temperament, Pan Su is as proud as her husband Zhang Boju. "A generation of Republican beauties, more talented temperament, exquisite inside and outside also." In the early days of liberation, Pan Su and He Xiangning painted together, and painted three times for the charity sale of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.

Zhang Boju is a big collector who loves paintings like his life, and Pan Su also does everything to support her husband's collection. In turbulent times, in order to protect national treasures from war or lost overseas, Pan Su and her husband gave almost everything.

In the 1930s, the couple sold their real estate, borrowed it from a friend, and collected 240 taels of gold to buy back a green landscape painting "You Chun Tu" by Zhan Ziqian of the Sui Dynasty, "You Chun Tu" by Sui Zhan Ziqian, the oldest painting in China, dating back more than 1400 years, known as "national treasure among national treasures".

In order to support her husband's purchase of prince Gong's rare treasure, the Western Jin Dynasty Lu Ji's "Ping Fu Ti", Pan Su sold his beloved jewelry and bought this heirloom ink treasure for 40,000 silver dollars. Later, a foreign businessman tried to buy for 300,000 silver dollars, but Pan Su flatly refused.

The couple poured out all the collections they had kept and did not appropriate them. In 1956, the painstaking collection of calligraphy and paintings was donated to the state free of charge. Among them, Lu Ji's "Ping Fu Ti", Zhan Ziqian's "You Chun Tu", Du Mu's "Zhang Haohao's Poem", Fan Zhongyan's "DaoFu Zan", Huang Tingjian's "Cursive Scrolls" and other ancient calligraphy and painting masterpieces are now the treasures of the palace museum.
Even after Zhang Boju was classified as a "rightist", the family disciples were surrounded by walls and living on a tight budget, Pan Su supported her husband's collection of ancient paintings without complaint or regret, and the coarse tea and light rice also raised eyebrows, and the white head was still as loving as ever. In 1980, Zhang Boju died of illness, and more than ten years later, Pan Su also went with him. Half a century of warmth, always looking, always full of respect.
