Emperor Huizong of Song was the most artistically accomplished emperor in Chinese history, and he was able to personally inscribe and stamp the Double Dragon Seal, which can be said to have made the Qingming Shanghe Map famous overnight.
Therefore, without the inscription and seal of The Song Huizong, the Qingming Shanghe Map is also a ground stall painting, which is difficult to excavate. But now on the Map of the Qingming River in the Palace Museum, there is no inscription and seal of Emperor Huizong of Song. Therefore, many people question whether the Qingming River Map is an imitation, and it is not a real thing at all. It is easy to imitate the seal, but it is difficult to imitate the thin gold body of Song Huizong, this font is original to Song Huizong, but basically no one can imitate it.
So why is the Qingming River Map in the Forbidden City now recognized as a genuine artifact? For more than 800 years, posterity has studied the ancient famous painting "Qingming On the River" innumerable.
